Is there a glossary of the acronyms commonly used here. The only one I understand so far is FIRE :)

These events transpired with witnesses and everything:

Mom: [Question about brother's upcoming schedule.]
Brother: IDK
Mom: What does that mean?
Brother: I don't know
Mom: Well if you don't know why would you text it?
Brother: Mom... seriously?

My sister turns to her future husband who was meeting my parents for the first time: So I guess this is a window to the future.  You still on board?

It's a funny anecdote about an acronym (IDK) in an acronym thread.  Works for me. :D
I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.
If you want to know more about me, this Business Insider profile tells the story pretty well.
I (rarely) blog at AdventuringAlong.com. Check out the Now page to see what I'm up to currently.

Do you have any specific ones in mind? We're happy to help out.

I got stuck on these at first:
DH-dear husband
DW-dear wife
DD-dear daughter
DS-dear son
AA-asset allocation
IIRC- if I recall correctly
OP- original poster = the person who started the thread
Random letters- most likely an abbreviation for a recent poster's user name.

Same here. I think because you would never say "dear husband", etc. in real life.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
