People who are disciplined with money are also disciplined in other areas of life, such as food intake relative to calories burned.  I wonder if that has anything to do with the study

The part about tipping cracked me up.

I might buy khakis at Good Will (3 for $12! heck yeah!) but I also dropped a bunch on a tip (something like 33%? whatevs) earlier in teh week. lol.

^^ yeah, i'm a big tipper too :).  I think everyone should work a service job at some point in their life so they understand that tipping really does matter!

I don't think so; maybe even the opposite. The subjects in the study were shown pictures of the same people (so obviously same weight, fitness, etc.). But the subjects who were told that picture A was of a saver rated that picture as sexier than subjects who were told that the same picture was that of a spender. So, in effect, they're saying "He/she looks that good without spending money? Hottt!"
