Frontier Airlines - Den Deals - $49 Per Year
« on: June 23, 2017, 11:32:25 AM »
Anyone have this membership? Looking to book a flight now and it appears it would pay for itself on this trip alone.

I've flown Frontier before and understand it is not the "nicest" and some of their fees are ridiculous, but if you understand their rules and don't buy all the add-ons, it is definitely a good low cost airline.

I bought a Frontier ticket for my GF due to a last minute trip change once last year and it was "fine."  They charge extra for bags, but it's cheaper to buy "the perks" package which includes priority seating/boarding in addition to a carry on and checked bag (if you have both a carry on and checked bag, which she did).  She sat right at the front of the plane and was "priority bitch" and treated like royalty by the staff, despite everything about it still being a budget airline.  She said it was extremely strange.

I looked into the membership and it didn't pencil out at the time, but I could see it making sense in different circumstances.

I purchased that membership once before with no complaints and mostly because the discount on the first flight pretty much paid for it. I was travelling quite a bit for work that year and used the discount a few times; so, it was definitely worth it for me. As the second poster alluded to, if the $'s work out, go for it.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
