FireTV recast

If you like the Amazon fire TV sticks, I HIGHLY suggest you pick up an HDTV antenna and recast during prime day. It will probably be $130ish and it is a great DVR for the over the air free HDTV and very easy to setup and use. We use it for football games mostly.

Thanks for the info, I haven't seen this DVR. My wife has been recording her soaps for about 4 yrs on a Homeworks 150 DVR, works great. http://www.mediasonic.ca/product_list.php?category_title=HomeWorx&category_system=Digital%20Converter%20Box
and last I checked it was only $30.
As far as antennas the HDTV designation means nothing! It is advertising hype. An antenna is designed to receive a radio frequency or spectrum of frequencies, how the signal is encoded has no bearing on the antenna, it could be audio only, 1080p or High definition, an antenna will receive them all, just some have more gain then others. (bit of a rant, because I don't like the advertising hype.)
 Ya, I have 4 Firesticks.

I just saw that it's on sale right now for $130; no need to wait for Prime Day.

We have a Channel Master DVR from years ago that works fine and help us cut the cord (similar function, except it's not integrated with streaming).  Good to have more players in the game; if we were looking to cut the cord now, or if our Channel Master crapped out, we'd probably spring for this device.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
