Extreme Cheapskates - Real or Not?
« on: January 07, 2014, 11:55:28 AM »
After watching Season 1 of Extreme Cheapskates on TLC, I decided to rate each cheapskate on a scale of 1-10.  Let me know if you agree!

Agree! Some of them are painful to watch.

I think every one of the TLC reality series are pretty much scripted at this point. That and the Extreme Couponing folks. It's just like a bad sitcom at this point.

FIence!

You have managed to reference both the Sticky Bandits and Carl Weathers' stew in a single paragraph, and for this I applaud you.

You have no idea how happy it makes me that someone besides my wife got the reference! =)

One of mine and my girlfriend's guilty pleasures is Gypsy Sisters on TLC. Oh and of course My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding.

I just can't look away.

My wife was watching My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding last night.  Arranged marriages determined 14!? WTF!

These people are nuts. Spray tanning at ten and never stopping, the clothes, the fighting... I seriously can't get enough, hah.

I thought most of the people were bogus. They talk and show how they are extreme cheapskates but only to help feed their gluttonous habits. The main example/story that sticks out to me is that guy that goes around asking for peoples left overs. That dude was fat as hell! Why does he need people's left overs??

The Asian lady in NYC and the one dude that rides his bike 70+ miles seemed to be the only legitimate ones, but the lady is so extreme she's completely ostracized herself to the world which is something I'd never want to do.

Still fun to watch either way :)

Slightly off topic - buy why does your blog archives have the jitters?  I feel like your webpage is going to give me a seizure.

Hmm, I'm not sure!  It shows up fine in my browser.  I'm just using the blogger.com standard template, so I have no idea.  Thanks for the heads up though.

Just checked and it's the same today.  I'm using Chrome, if that matters.
