Enlighten or grow your Stache?
« on: December 22, 2016, 12:35:19 PM »
So I think there is some cognitive dissonance when it comes to attempting to sell people on early retirement or be happy more people will work longer and keep our investments growing. I fall mostly all the way into the camp of selling people on early retirement as even if I convinced everyone I talked to it wouldn't make a huge impact on my investments.

We'd have to see large cultural shifts for actual change to occur; and if this happened I think we'd see many other positives (e.g., fewer emissions/improved environment) that would outweigh the negatives.

I think MMM's post on this addressed the topic well, but I'm more interested in your opinions and why you might think that way. So, where do you fall on the spectrum and why?
