Creating a Game: Financial Empire
« on: June 29, 2015, 12:47:42 PM »
Greetings fellow Mustacians,

About a year ago, I submitted for a contest to create an ap that would help teach financial aptitude to players.  Here is the information on it:

Financial Empire is a game that speeds up time while challenging the player to invest and save for the future. Through constant decision making, frequent opportunities to spend, invest, and track net worth, the player becomes a keen financial planner able to build a Financial Empire they can show off to everyone they know. Friends can compete by sharing their results on social networking sites to see who can build the most sustainable financial empire. Users could also simply use the app to help them see the potential outcome of a financial decision they are trying to make in their own lives. Either way, Financial Empire is a fun, powerful, and easy to use teaching tool that empowers people to understand financial planning and show off their decision making acumen.

You can find the information about the ap idea here:

I'd be interested to know if anyone would find something like this useful.  If so, anyone care to help develop it?

Sounds like something a junior high computer lab would force their students to play. Not a bad idea, but definitely a narrow market for that kind of app.
