Teacher's Pension Post

Most of the people I teach with have no clue about how our pension system in Minnesota works. I put together a post on our page that attempts to explain it as clearly as I can. If any teachers out there would like to take a look at it and give any feedback. That would be great. Hopefully the teachers in our district get a better understanding of our retirement from it.

Thanks! How does this pension compare to teachers from other states?

I am an inactive TRA member. I thought the summary was good although I wasn’t 100% clear on if the 62/30 rule had to be both or just one?

OK, thanks for the feedback. I will go try and make sure that it's clear that you must meet both criteria to qualify.

I think it's more clear now.
