Credit card authorized users, different CC numbers.
« on: July 08, 2023, 06:34:20 PM »
Authorized users on credit cards are standard by most (all?) issuers of CC that I know. Only one of my credit cards (Capital One) provides me with credit cards for authorized users that have different CC account numbers. This helps me track what authorized user charged which item. For other CC I have, authorized users all have the same CC number.

Question: does anyone know what [major] credit card companies issues credit cards with different account numbers for each authorized user? Is this something that can be requested (I've not tried)?

I don't think you can request it.  It's just whatever the CC company does is what you get.

Chase provides the same card number, and I think most other major issuers are this way.

Capital One provides different AU CC numbers.

Don't know about the rest offhand.

Sofi uses different numbers.  They are separated in the monthly statements, too.

Amex identifies which user made which transaction. You can see the info on the Amex portal and on the monthly statements.

Citibank does not track this info.

Amex issues a separate card # to each person.

Don't know off hand about the card numbers, but my Capital One card separates transactions based on cardholder on the statement.
