We just moved to Bend, Oregon (2x the salary, 10 minutes from work by bike - yay!) from overseas, and were not able to bring any furniture or much of anything with us besides what we took in our suitcases. With 2 kids, we do have a variety of things we need to get by, and we're spending a bit. Nothing I can't handle with the new salary, but it'd be kind of nice to smooth out our expenditures a bit, rather than be hit with so many things at once. We signed up for Costco yesterday, and I got the credit card, which apparently has 6 months without interest.
I'm curious what that would do to my credit score if I let it sit there, though, as we'd like to buy a house here sooner or later, so I want to keep that high.
