I really appreciate the conversation, and I feel like my thought that most people who say kids aren't expensive haven't raised teenagers, or have only one child, is probably correct on the whole. It will be interesting to see how things evolve as some of you with younger kids begin to encounter that reality. Of course, those who said that there are expensive ways to raise kids and cheap ways are correct, but I contend that even the cheap ways become expensive when there are 4 teenagers living in a house!
