Moving to Austin
« on: December 02, 2019, 12:08:43 PM »
I will be moving to Austin for work in the downtown area.  I would like 4 bedrooms so that everyone has their own room.  Any suggestions so I don't spend a lot of time commuting or breaking the bank?

I wish I could find that Infographic from the Onion about "Reasons why we are moving to Austin"

Some friends of mine are selling a house but I don't think it's 4 bedrooms.  I'll ask though.

My best tip is to live on the same side of the river as you work - there are only so many ways to get from north Austin to south Austin, and every one of them backs up during rush hour.  Otherwise, basic real estate rules apply - size, location, and "good schools" will all cost you.
