When the company I worked for was having a rough time, my boss told me he really appreciated that I was always positive and optimistic, but that I never had on rose colored glasses. I thought that was an interesting observation. Most people only recognize the first part (and some find it annoying) but he could see a little past that.

That's why I almost went with Joyful Realist or Optimistic Realist, but stand by my original choice.
