CFIRE Sim for calculating returns?
« on: November 11, 2015, 10:19:09 AM »
i put in annual income of 6100 a year for 10 years

it tells me the average portfolio value at end of 10 years is 93000

total deposit  = 61000
total interest = 32000

comes out at about 8% returns per year on average

is this after including inflation or not because if not that means real returns are more on average 5%

I think inflation is accounted for on the spending side (edit: in cfiresim)

Generally it is accepted that 8% is after inflation.

In cFIREsim it has an inflation adjusted toggle between true and false. Did you have it set to true when you ran your simulation?
