Blocking numbers on T-mobile/Pay as you go
« on: September 29, 2018, 11:43:29 AM »
I am on a pay-as-you-go plan, and every time some idiot calls me and leaves a stupid voice mail (and ALL voice mails are stupid), it costs me a dime. Some of these messages are in various languages I do not speak. In most cases I do not know who these people are. In some cases I do know who they are, but they are just stupid greedy corporations (which is to say, corporations) leaving their stupid messages/advertising. Other times I've won a free cruise (LOL).

I tried calling T-mobile, but they are "experiencing higher than expected wait times"--one of the biggest lies ever--and current expected wait times are between eleventy billion hours and a quadrillion eons. Chat has not worked either.

I'm angry, sorry. Sometimes it seems I spend a lot of time and energy paying for other people's stupidity.

Any help appreciated.

In some phones, you can limit calls to only your contacts through the phone settings. Have you explored the settings to see if that's possible?

WOW, T-mobile has every trick in the book to get rid of you!!!

As I was waiting on chat, the person (?) on the other end pasted some crap reply about being sorry for the wait time and asking whether there were any other issues I needed help with (without even addressing the one I originally asked about). Then I repeated my question about blocking numbers. Waiting like a fool, thinking they would actually help me, I checked back, and they had logged me out. Nice.

Thanks. I guess I should explore my phone's various menus more, but I really just don't like phones or even owning one. For some reason I thought I heard I had to do this on their website. In any case, I looked through the various menus and found a way to reject calls. I am tempted to check the box that says "reject all calls"!
