Looking for recommendations for the following:
1) Rechargeable handle-bar bike light that's bright enough to clearly light up street in front of me at night (the one I have now isn't bright enough) (preferably under $30)
2) Rechargeable helmet light (preferably under $30 as well)

No specific recommendations, but think about how the recharging system works. I got some a few years ago that are USB, but it's basically like an oversized extra-awkward USB stick, so it's difficult to plug it in in most places.In all situations where there is a second USB port, the bulk of the light prevents the second USB port from being used. When I need to buy lights again, I'll look for ones where it's a socket on the light or something so it isn't such a pain to recharge.

All my rechargeable lights (I have : 2×front white & 2×red) came with a longer USB cord, which I plug into my wall socket unit (which has 4 usb ports ). Never had an issue as the cord is about 10cm long.

I like the Cygolite bike lights - they're a good balance of value to brightness. The Dash models can often be found for around $30, but I've never seen them under that.
