Beyond college rankings

This approach to college rankings strikes me as more Mustachian than most. Apologies if this has already been discussed here, the forum search function is giving errors.

Whereas some college rankings include things like "exclusivity" in the scoring criteria (which is similar to the "good schools" issue when evaluating a neighborhood), the above ranking attempts to isolate this (and other socioeconomic factors) as a variable and remove it as a bias from the rankings. You can read the site for the full details, but basically they try to figure out the earning potential difference each college adds to a similar candidate. In other words, they're trying to determine whether colleges are producing great outcomes or merely accepting great applicants.

My biggest complaint is that they don't break it down by major/career, similar to the PayScale ROI rankings (http://www.payscale.com/college-roi).

Any opinions/thoughts on this?
