How to calculate my savings rate?
« on: December 09, 2015, 01:40:34 PM »
New to the mustachian way... and, I promise I tried searching the forums for my answer with no luck.

I've seen many topics where people are sharing their savings rate for the month/year. Can someone explain how to get to that number and what you include in it? Or, direct me to a discussion where it's discussed?

The obvious ones are cash, 401k, Roth IRA... what am I missing? Would you include an HSA account?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

There's about 300 threads on this.

Google "calculate savings rate" site:MrMoneyMustache.com
