The Aldi stores in my area have frozen bay scallops for $4.99 per lb. this week. The ones I bought for tonight’s dinner were great, so I think I’m going to stock up.
How did you prepare them?

I used this recipe, although I added the heavy cream (see note at the end of the recipe) and some parmesan cheese because husband had made a comment about wanting alfredo sauce. If you add the cream, I'd strongly suggest reducing in in a saucepan with the wine before adding it to the skillet because the skillet cook times weren't long enough (too much risk of overcooking the scallops). Next time I'll probably just make it as written.

Our local store has been routinely scanning honey crisp apples as McIntosh apples at $0.99/lb. The honey crisps are $2.50/lb :-)

That looks amazing. Thanks!

We just gotta brand new Aldi in a strip mall. It’s nice and larger than the other two freestanding locations not too far away.  I can drive to all three within 30 minutes.

The town I’d like to relocate to someday just got their first one, now if they’d just get an ikea I’d be set.

My son lives in Lubbock, he has a Costco which is great but an Aldi would be nice for pantry items.

I still only buy my meats from Costco.  Produce is a hit or miss but I just plan to eat it ASAP and that seems to work.
