Anyone else play poker as a side gig?
« on: May 07, 2015, 06:22:33 PM »
Just curious if others play online or live poker to generate side income. I'd also be happy to answer questions you may have if you are interesting in this side-gig.

I started playing online texas hold-em in December 2013. I started with a $20 deposit, and since then have built that bankroll up to $640. I know $620 in profit sounds lame for 1.5 years of playing, but there is a snowball effect here. It's slow going when you have a small bankroll. But as you climb the stakes your earnings can exponentially increase. My bankroll has nearly doubled every 3 months. If I keep climbing the ladder like this I could be making as much money playing poker 20 hours a week as I do working my job 40 hours a week. Of course not everyone can make money as it requires the skill of playing a smart strategy and a lot of discipline.
