Megacorp is offering the four-part/8-hour (RetireWise) series free to employees. Have to sign up ASAP ("spaces are extremely limited…blah, blah") - anyone done these? Helpful or a waste of time (and a seat) for MMM folks? We're pretty confident in firecalc/cFIREsim models and our spreadsheets and current path.

The list of topics includes "doing a budget…investment strategies to manage market risk...using assets for a revenue stream during retirement…" Wouldn't mind picking up a valuable tidbit or two of useful info or something major to chew on that we may have missed, but if this is just a "hey, you should really try to save 10% of your income" chat or a lengthy commercial to sell financial services, insurances, etc., no thanks. Would love to hear from anyone who has actually sat through the series - many thanks!

I work for MiniMegaCorp and have always taken their free financial classes.

There is usually a few nuggets of info. I like to torment the instructor and ours are during work time. I like to learn on MiniMegaCorp's dime.

I also think the 401k is a good one, managed by Fidelity.

I've also had State Farm and Edward Jones "training". Neither were as interesting as Fidelity's training.
