A)  What location?  Those salaries seem low by about 30%.

B)  If your offer letter did not contain a promise of a bonus, you can't really be too mad about not getting a bonus.  Look at your $10k signing bonus as this year's bonus, and work on getting promoted so you get next year's.

A.  Dallas.  The old job was secured with 2 years experience and the newest one with 3.5 years.

B.  No.... it didn't.  Just disappointing.

Took down the post... just in case.

A pay bump plus a bonus bump after your first year is pretty darn good.  Stop being so impatient.

Figured I am being impatient.  Just frustrating when you know you outperforming people higher rank.

I didn't see the original post before you deleted but I am reminded of what an older coworker once told me: "You need to be mobile, agile, and hostile." Keep the frustration in check so it doesn't boiler over with others, but use the fire inside your belly to your advantage and keep pushing. Do not become complacent with either the pay or your performance. Keep outperforming / building skills and look for opportunities to increase your compensation.

I spent 2-3 years out performing older employees while being at a 40% discounted pay, the only way I could correct the salary imbalance was to change companies. Now I am outperforming peers who have 15+ years more experience but at roughly equal pay. I expect my compensation / level to continue to rise in the future.

You're still starting your career. You're obviously too advanced for that place. Time to find a position a step above what you are doing now. Keep doing that until you are happy with where you are at.

Isn't this a line from Remember the Titans?

No idea, it might be. Someone at work said it to me.

Ignorance and arrogance.

That's the line I remember.  It's from Bull Durham.

This. Haven't seen the original post either, but a good colleague of mine had been outperforming and was frustrated at how slow he was rising in the company. Step after step though, he's built a strong reputation as an overperformer though, and he's always the first one managers think of when they are discussing promotions. He got promoted once, and I'm pretty sure the second promotion is on its way. Given how tough it is to get promoted for people in his job at this specific company, he's doing really well and all he needed was to keep up the good work.
