A great read

I think this article serves as a reminder that this site isn't as niche as we tend to think it is - unless the author is an undercover Mustachian. I mean, yes, 90% of people still live like they did 15 years ago, it's just that things are definitely changing and there are more people wanting to change and paying attention than there were 15 years ago.

The article does make you look back and think about things he brought up like organics and yoga etc.. but i can tell you % to growth I would argue or at least see if the numbers are less than 15 years ago than more. I would think not. MMM to me is like buying a new car in that you buy a Toyota Camry you start to see them more and more. MMM has made me take notice of seeing more and more the bad spending habits of others BUT also witness the "more" frugal people as well. Was a good quick read thanks for sharing.

Seems a bit lacking on the backup/evidence. It sure sounds nice though.

How do you measure impact of movements? Re-shares on facebook mean people find the idea interesting (and visibility is good) but it doesn't mean they start buying clothing from the thrift store or skip an iphone release. It is nice for beneficial things like yoga, veganism, minimalism, etc. to become acceptable but will this change society as a whole? Time will tell, but I wouldn't hold my breath. :)

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
