Long time MMM reader and forum lurker and this is the first topic I've started.
Yesterday I was reading this post:
http://forum.mrmoneymustache.com/welcome-to-the-forum/keynes-predicted-mustachianism-in-1930/. And while I'm not a huge fan of Keynes, I do think this essay of his referenced in the thread is fairly spot on with his predictions. And, I think the successful Mustachians are the tip of the spear in realizing some of what Keynes described.
When Keynes refers to the art of living (a great phrase IMO), I was reminded of a book I read recently called Blue Zones:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Blue-Zones-Second-Edition/dp/1426209487/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408501445&sr=8-1&keywords=Blue+zonesI can remember as I read the book I kept thinking of the MMM blog. While the marketing of the book seems to push the message of long living, I think once you get into it you realize it's more about living well. These different, geographically dispersed cultures have some common denominators for not just a long life but judging by the interviews, a good life also.
I think the book would resonate with many of you here.
