On this day, I bought...

To play, search your records for purchases you made on or around this date in previous years. How much did you spend and was it a smart move?

On this day in 2014, I bought:

Luna Venado minimalist sandals, $65. Verdict: a lot of money, but a good buy. I wear them all the time (for walking, not running) and they're in great condition. Unfortunately Luna has raised their prices a lot. Should I need to replace my sandals, the most badass thing would be to learn to make them myself.

On January 3rd, 2012, I bought:

3 vintage milk glass pieces via Etsy, $73 for a small vase, sugar bowl, and toothpick holder. Verdict: a silly purchase. I wouldn't buy that kind of thing today but I like them and I will keep them. They get daily use holding pens and hair accessories.

Ok, let's see. Nothing except groceries on any Jan 2nd, so:

Jan 3rd, 2011: A power-over-ethernet injector kit, £8.98... I have no idea where that is any more, but the security camera I bought it for is no longer in use, or indeed in the house, so it's probably gone with that.

Fun little game though, because halfway through 2011 I suddenly decided to color-code my spreadsheet by type of entry, so as I scroll down the color just runs out and I know I'm going deeply historical. The sheet only goes back to Oct '09 though.

In 2013, I got a car wash for $16. Pretty good deal for the type I got, I think.

For 2014...well, the 2nd wasn't anything big but I withdrew $500 on the 3rd for my vacation. That went to parking, food, and whatever thingies I bought.
