This is a car and driver article, so I don't think the author liked any of these cars, but it is interesting to see their results have the Metro's MPG right up there with the Prius.

I'm amazed that their observed numbers are so low.  42MPG in a (5 speed) Metro is borderline awful.  A friend of mine was able to get about 46MPG delivering pizzas in one last summer, and in my 1988 Chevy Sprint (precursor to the Metro), I'm able to get well over 50MPG in the summer, and around 48MPG in the winter.

Where can I get one for a song?

I sold a 1992 Geo Metro xfi on craigslist today for $950. EPA rated 53 mpg city, 58 mpg highway.

One of our cars is a 92 Geo Metro. I wouldn't sell it for anything. Someone in our family has had it since it was news.
