NW 850 low end 1M top end.
Liquid portion (i.e outside pension / property) £200k ish.
What I said back in 2017.
I wasnt too far off 5 years later I FIRE in a few months (where has time gone!).
At c.1MM now and have c.£300k in ISAs which I plan to draw down on until my SIPP kicks in (c.12 years away).
It might (probably) wont be enough so I have about £100k in other assets which I will liquidate in c.3-5 years or so and re-invest back into my ISA should I feel it wont be enough. I wont know until I get a few years in though if my calculations are accurate.
Hopefully at 2035 my SIPP will be worth c.500k. House probably about the same.
If things go well then hopefully I am on a straight line (adj for inflation) income for the next 25-30 years.
After that I will be at an age that frankly I dont think it matters. I will (hopefully) have done what I wanted to do.
If not then I will downsize the house to release the short fall.
I never factor in inheritance but being realistic its likely we will get something along the way but will be towards the end of our active life anyway, so its not something I am waiting on put it that way. (I maintain that grand kids do better than the kids in this situation!)
