Newbie to MMM Forum - Case Studies allowed?
« on: August 29, 2022, 08:46:30 PM »
Hi folks
Member for a while but never delved into the group properly! I’m a Brit living in the States for a few years. Although I’d vaguely heard about MMM before moving here I stumbled across the FIRE movement properly stateside and have made great friends here (it is a ‘real’ thing not an American cult).
I feel I started very late though - currently 40 and only been pursuing this for about 3 years. Also I don’t have a six figure salary. However I’m definitely at COAST FI for traditional retirement age and I ‘think’ I’m likely to be able to ‘Barista/Slow’ FI in about 3 years time.
Just wanted to check the etiquette of posting something like a case study so I can get some FIRE aficionados to look over my calculations from a UK perspective. I have several American friends that seem to think I’m on track but I’m curious to get a UK specific view seeing as I plan on moving back in few years time to make sure I’m not missing something obvious!

Hi and welcome to the forums, Vintagebelle.

You can post a case study. Go to the page linked below and look at the post pinned to the top for details on formatting your case study. You’ll also post it in that section of the forums.
