I'm still reading but I'm still really sick.

At most, I've been getting some physio done.
I'm considering a low key visit to the gym though.

Finally recovered from the cold from hell.  I'm doing an out of town horse massage workshop this weekend, so I was preserving my energy.  No weight gain over a month of no formal exercise, but I have been working horses almost every day and walking a bit, so that's something.

I have 11 doctors, it's not a bug, it's a systemic illness I've had my whole life.

I should start feeling a bit better soon though, I've been over worked for the past two months and that's what tends to cause major problems.

Returned to say that I did manage to hit the gym today for the first time in about 2 months. I didn't swim after or take the stairs back up this time though, as I'm easing back into it.

Will probably do some physio later too.

Okay, so aside from my regular workout schedule (M/F weights, T/Th/Sat run, Sun walk and sometimes swim, Weds misc (swim, yoga, walk...I sleep in!) - I made this 30 mile/ week goal of total steps.

My running has been ramping and going well, mostly, so drumroll...
Week 1: 35.6
Week 2: 39.8
Week 3: 46.4 miles.  Whee!

Walked the dog in the dark ~2.5 miles after working both horses as well as walking a mile + at lunch.  Weight was near my recent low this morning, surprisingly.  Planning my first weight training session in about six weeks on Sunday.

Finally made it back to the gym last night.  Felt good, but afterwards my legs were like "WTF is the meaning of this?!"  All from 2 sets of kettlebell squats and a set of Turkish get-ups.  I've lost ground.

New joiner here, just bought me a very non-mustachian smartwatch and started a weightloss challenge with a co-worker. Goal time is Valentine's day so our SO's can also benefit a bit from our desire to get healthier.

Goal weight: 199lbs
Daily goal steps: 10000
8 gym sessions per month
Target weight loss 2lbs per week

Starting weight: 226.6lbs
Day 1 steps: 6500
Gym: 0/8
Cals: 1900

I've been doing some light walking and swimming this past week. Nothing very intense, and definitely not enough physio.

Ugh I have been sucking at this. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel (downsized substantially a few months ago, with the plan of renovating the kitchen). We are doing a lot of the work ourselves, which is great for saving money, but not great for diet and exercise. Trying to get through the next couple weeks at which point we will have a functional kitchen again. I've been getting my 10,000 steps most days, but my weight is at 179 still...not making much progress. I haven't gotten back to running because of the remodel and tweaking my back (again).

11/13-9702
11/12-12,897
11/11=16,676

Been doing at least 75 minutes on the Elliptical and slowly back at the weights doing 6 exercises each day of 3 sets of 12 reps. So pretty good workouts.

Oh my goodness this is exactly where I'm at. I'm finally doing some delayed repairs on my kitchen and it's taken me longer than I thought it would. It is seriously tough to keep up with my running and eating healthy when I've ripped out my kitchen and I'm doing reno work each night after my day job. Good luck with your home project @FireHiker! We'll get these kitchens done eventually!

Thanks for the commiseration and encouragement, E.T.@ We should have the sink re-connected and dishwasher back in tonight. Tomorrow we buy backsplash tile, install it Saturday, and then we can install the range. SO close...

11/18 14,974
11/19 9,414
11/20 12,254

My weight loss hasnt been where I want it to be either and in fact have gain a few lbs because I have been stress eating. We bought a home which has been just a nightmare and sold ours so will be moving in about 3 weeks so hopefully I can get things on track after that. Until then just trying to not put on any more.

I'm into my second week of getting back on track.  I did about 45 minutes at the gym last night, and just slightly sore today.  Next Sunday I'll go back to the full hour workout, plus my half hour on Wednesday night and a 4-mile run/walk on Saturday mornings. Need to add a 2-3 mile mid-week run as well. Weight seems to be holding steady so no complaints.

My horse is in the midst of physical rehab involving 20 minutes per day of trotting under saddle, which I suppose burns more calories than sitting (for me and the horse).

I just bought myself an early Christmas gift - the Samsung Active smartwatch.  So I'll be joining the world of step counting this weekend.

I've been back at the gym, which has been nice.

I'm feeling a lot better these days, so it's been great to get back to heavier exercise. I definitely overdid it yesterday though with free weights, my whole body is stiff and angry.

11/25-15,712

I have been for the most part the last couple of weeks doing 75-90 minutes on the Elliptical and hitting the free weights as much as I can .  Going through that sore period of hitting the weights again but feels good.

I got a smartwatch yesterday!  (Samsung Active $149.99 at BestBuy for anyone who's interested).

Pleased with how it tracked my run today.  I managed to jog almost all of the first 3.24 miles at a little over 10min/mile pace.  OTOH, I was annoyed to learn that the route I thought was 4.4 miles is actually slightly less.  It says I did 15,424 steps today, but about 4,000 of that was riding my horse this morning, so that's cheating.

Made it through Thanksgiving without too much ridiculousness.  Now to deal with a week of travel.  At least I'm at a hotel I've stayed at several times before, so I know they have a fairly good gym, and even good areas to run if there's enough daylight left after work.

Still around doing physio, walking, and some swimming.
Only doing weights about once a week right now, with my illness I have to be careful with them.

I'm so bored with physio. So so bored, and yet I have to do the same boring ass exercises for the rest of my life.
They're about as interesting as flossing, but they take an hour.

Just got home from a M-F work trip.  I worked out twice at the hotel gym, and mostly ate reasonable (a salad every day).

15,507 steps today, though about 4,000 were my horse's since I went out and worked her immediately when I got home.

Hoping to run this weekend, but it's supposed to be cold and rainy.  DH's birthday food-fest is tomorrow; I'll try to sample everything without getting too gluttonous.

I'd bite. I've been doing absolutely horrible at fitness this year. I have a run with a group scheduled for tomorrow. I really need to get back on track...work has been extra busy and motivation extra low. A deadly combination.

I'll be in as well.  Treading water over here,  but hey, Christmas is over and with it, Eating Season!

I've maintained the last few months @ 8# down from when I started in April.  Still want to shed another 7# and get better aerobic fitness and core strength.

I'm in!

The end of 2019 involved a lot of walking and physio, but I'm working less in 2020, so want to amp up gym and pool.

Also pretty much giving up red wine because I'm in a drug trial now, and I have no idea how alcohol might interact.
