I searched a lot to see if there was already a topic about this website Stickk in the forums but didn't find any posts mentioning it. Since we're all throwing down the gauntlet around here, I thought I'd share my love for this site which is remarkably effective for forming new habits and meeting goals, especially people who love tracking things in detail (ah hem...). I swear I have no affiliation to the site and am just promoting it because I think it's awesome and we can all benefit from supporting each other on this platform too!

Basically, you create an ongoing or a one-time goal and then every week you report back on whether you completed your goal or not. Before you set it, you have to designate a $$$ amount that will either go to charity, anti-charity, or another user on the site if you fail your goal(s) for the week. For those who are detail-oriented and like to see tangible progress over time this is great.

I find it to be the perfect motivator to do the mid-level priority things I know I *could* be doing all the time but sometimes make excuses not to, like jump roping tricks and consuming more plastic bags than I want (I am in a place where people give you 5 bags for one food item and it's very difficult for them to grasp that you don't want them, so forcing myself to say "no" and making myself uncomfortable is doable now that $10 a week is on the line).

There are lots of people on there doing the big life changes though, like losing __ pounds or making $____ of extra money a month through side projects.

If you sign up and make some goals, share your page here and we can follow and support each other.

My page is here -- https://www.stickk.com/commitment/370948 -- I don't have any referees since I just got crickets when I shared this idea among loved ones ;) if anyone wants to referee me that'd be sweet!

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
