Roller coasters
« on: August 15, 2015, 07:54:52 PM »
One of our community, Kander, has a dream: to become the Netherlands #1 roller coaster tester. If she achieves this, she will get a free pass to 7 parks in Holland. To do this, she needs votes. It takes two seconds. You go to this link,and select the lady with the black wedding dress:

https://www.uitmetkorting.nl/nieuws/achtbaantester-2015-verkiezing

That's our Kander.

She is only 130 votes from the number one spot as of this afternoon. Can we change this?

Once you've voted, you can go to Off Topic, and let her know you've voted. She is saying Please vote for me, but is a little discouraged.

Kander is getting a lot of votes, thanks in part to the mustachians voting. However, someone else has snuck ahead of her, leaving her in third place. The gap has closed, though, so she is now 112 votes from the number one spot. She has until Thursday to wrap this up.

Everyone else in her group has been blown out of the water.

This would mean free tickets for her for seven different parks. If you haven't voted, please take a minute to do so. If there is anyone else who you think would like to vote for her, ask them to vote too.

Everyone thanks a lot. Can I now use this topic for writing about my "rollercoaster adventures"? ;)

I'll start next week with "De Efteling". This park has 6 rollercoasters:

* Python: https://youtu.be/zWmL3MoQ2mQ the oldest one in the park. 2 loopings and a corkscrew.
* Vogel rok: https://youtu.be/fJk5fHvX9MA Sinbad the sailor themed darkride rollercoaster with no inversions
* Joris en de draak: https://youtu.be/rAkLAH8Hxgw this is a dualing wooden rollercoaster. Great ride!
* Vliegende Hollander (flying dutchman): https://youtu.be/HAX8IFaZ1a0
* Bob: https://youtu.be/fAYNReRFXDk
* Baron 1898: https://youtu.be/dCGkm_LpRGM a new dive-coaster: it opened in June. I'm pretty nervouw for this ride ;)

We are doubting if we should take our son (22 months old and 91 cm tall) in the Bob. I've heared of people that took their child of 15 months with them. But I'm not sure if he'l like it...
