TNW would be there, if I used the current value of my home.  But I like to keep that stated as less in my calculation to account for realtor fees, etc, were I to sell (not likely).  LNW is really the actual goal, anyway.  Still encouraging to know, technically, my net worth is there. :-)

I just hit the $500K mark last month (could not be more excited!) and so now am officially throwing down the gauntlet for $1M. My goal is to hit this by age 32 (I'm 28 at the moment). I'm not sure how I'll do it just yet, but I also didn't think I'd be at $500K by 28, so just gotta take the plunge!

Here's my net worth history:
* Dec 2014 (21): $554
* Dec 2015 (22): $32.2K (+31K)
* Dec 2016 (23): $100.7K (+68.5K)
* Dec 2017 (24): $149.6K (+48.9K)
* Dec 2018 (25): $208K (+58.4K)
* Dec 2019 (26): $264K (+56K)
* Dec 2020 (27): $424K (+160K)
* Current (28): ~$510K (as of May 2021)

Hi everyone! I joined this club a few months ago, and figured I'd post my numbers here with hopes it'll spur me on to save more. My numbers include investments and cash only. (In 2019 I didn't do a great job of tracking my investments, hence the zero's). I retired from the military in 2014 with less than six figures saved/invested, and I'm proud of myself for doubling down and saving as much as I have. Plus extremely grateful for a good paying job and a healthy stock market! Side note - I can't believe I figured out how to make this table! :)

Was wondering if we'd hang on after we popped out heads about $1 million by a few dollar on 4/1.  Glad to see the growth kept moving.  I guess I can post in the next group now, but still not sure if the cushion is enough that we are safely there.  I'd like to think with the great strides made in the economy we are, but investments are always unknown.  Still need a good amount to get to FIRE but this is a big step!  Thanks everyone for all the support on these forums.

Posting to keep track.
June last year was at 520k invested.
Started from zero in 2015.
Now I am at 280k invested and 505k total net worth.
Looking forward to get to 1 MM net worth and then to 1MM invested...

528k TNW, 275k invested.

Since my first post spent 10k on repairing some things around the house and spent around 2.5k usd on a trip plus some appliances.
House Zestimate went up...

Hi All,

Graduated from the 250-500k club back in June 18 but waited a while to join this one until it seemed like it would stick. Look forward to seeing how I do on this race - alot of the previous gains came about from getting married and combining assets.
Assets include primary residence, rental property, and investment portfolio. Liabilities are two mortgages.

                        Assets   Liabilities   Net Worth
July 2018            $939k        -$433k         $505k
August 2018        $956k        -$431k         $525k
September 2018  $975k        -$435k         $539k
October 2018       $953k        -$435k        $518k
November 2018    $962k        -$429k        $533k
December 2018    $962k        -$427k        $534k

April 2019             $1049k      -$427k        $622k

Looks like about a year to go from $500-600k. I was initially house heavy (1 primary + 1 investment), so nice to see the liquid portion of Net Worth continuing to ramp up.
May 2019             $1051k      -$423k        $628k (+6k)
Slightly up mostly due to putting in money in both retirement and taxable. Happy to see it was up with Mr. Market slightly down - this is most likely due to the stock market being a smaller portion of my net worth than most others here.
A few months since last updated
Dec 2019             $1085k      -$421k        $664k(+6k/mth )
It's been a little while since I last posted, while I don't think it's a permanent change, I am excited to have have graduated this race!! Net worth is almost evenly split between primary residence and investment portfolio - so still some work to do. But it's a cool milestone :)
May 2021             $1,195k      -$195k        ($1M )

Eh, not much movement this month. We've paid for a decent amount of our upcoming trips, so minimal net worth movement isn't all that unexpected. We're hitting both New York and California this summer, so absolutely no regrets on vacation $$$ after not having a real vacation in 2.5 years.

Currently on gardening leave - paid employment will end in July and a severance will be paid. It may well leave me short of the double comma club in net worth.... but I'll be off the hamster wheel!
Also my net worth has trebled since my divorce settlement in Nov 2017 - and after paying off the ex's mortgage and child support etc etc during the last 3 1/2 years. I'm still paying Alimony but thats fixed and finite.
Did not think the net would increase this fast..

Well, look at that.  It's the two comma club.  I don't really know what to do with this information.  I've been in this thread for a long time.

Feeling really, really lucky.  Five years ago, we decided to get ready to retire. Since then, the market has gone absolutely crazy.  I had hoped/planned to have $600,000 by this time. Now we are rich beyond our wildest dreams.

Well done, Ladychips! I know, it's a kind of surreal feeling, isn't it?
We took our first step  (toe over the line) into the two comma club in the height of the pandemic. That felt extra surreal.  Congrats!

The stock market and housing insanity has just blown our net worth through the roof. It seems unreal.

That’s a major reason why we have held our house value at a conservative number (what we paid for it 4 years ago). Those swings in RE can be wild.

Seems like a good approach. I keep going back to what the heck can I do with this unreal/bizarre "equity" and the answer I keep coming back to is ... Well, besides move, not much.

We won't be paying off the loan anytime soon, and unlikely looking at a move, so the numbers I go back to are the liquid assets. Fun to include them and see what raises faster/is bigger, the house or the liquid assets. Right now the liquid assets are winning and outpacing the rise in house value over the last 3 years. We'll see how the next three go 😎

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
