Sliding backwards. It's crazy this is definitely the area you feel the market has more sway than saving amount. I saved more last month in cash terms than I have in a long time, and still had a drop. The good news is when things turn around I should feel more of that tailwind.

Still working up for deployment and riding the market roller coaster at the same time. Hit a high of $401k on August 17th, only to see it drop back down, even as I shoveled money into the accounts. Such is life, but now buying stocks on sale.

Trying to make some purchases that will make life more enjoyable while deployed in an austere environment, while not spending my feelings away at the same time. That's a hard thing to do.

Net worth consists of equity portfolio, two rental properties, and cash (checking/savings). Liabilities are month-to-month credit card (PIF every month), two mortgages on rental properties, and what’s left of my wife’s student loans.
