I looked hard for one when I started this thread, but couldn't find one.  I copied my numbers out of the old spreadsheet and have continued to track it (privately).

There is now that I know about one... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AU7U1LTOW0D-_TiWUZJ7OSolSB_ULYQC2ZWSNW5hig0/edit?usp=sharing

Not hard to make one copying and updating the one from the 100-250k thread, just put your name in the data entry tab and start adding data :)

Oh this seems like a nice place! Much fancier than the $100K-$250K room! We never have any soap in the dispensers. Anyway, just looking around, as I hope to pass the $250,000 mark in a few months and was just checking out the future digs.

Found this thread today. I'm in! Just passed 250k!

30. June 2018 - 250 000.

This sum includes my house value, and after thinking about it I want to exclude that from my net worth (The money will most certainly always be bounded to my house and therefore won't give any passive income). Consequently, I'm jumping down to the 10k-100k thread. See you in a couple of years! Good luck :)

Joining late to the game!

2017 progress:

Jan 17: $287k
Feb 17: $301k (partially accounted for by 2016 bonus)
Mar 17: $304k
April 17: $316k
May 17: $322k
June 17: $326k

Automatic savings of $1500/month in my 401(k), and usually deposit $3-4k into Vanguard per month, right after my paychecks hit.  I could probably stand to increase that.

Update:

November 17: $365k.

DH started a job this month, and his whole paycheck goes straight to Vanguard.

I haven't been posting month-by-month, but as of yesterday, I have GRADUATED from this thread! Since November, I have banked a large annual bonus, 100% of my husband's paychecks, and a large chunk of mine.

July 2018: $522k.

For the past 2-3 weeks, I have been hovering between $498-502k depending on what was happening in the market on any given day, but yesterday I received my mid-year bonus of $20k along with my regular paycheck, which puts me comfortably over the half-million mark, hopefully for good!  Bye everybody, see you on the other side!

Here I am!

My current NW is $269,103.  I put off jumping from the last thread to this because I'm remodeling my kitchen, and was worried it would drop my NW too much. I seem to be accumulating quickly enough that it isn't a concern...

We are really close to graduating to the next thread: $487,346, but our net worth has doubled in 20 months. I only wish it would do that perpetually.

For the record, if your net worth doubled every 20 months, in 31.8 years you would become the richest person in the world. Assuming the current global wealth continues to grow at 4.9% - that was the average from some quick googling, then it would only take 52 years until your wealth was equal to all the wealth in the world.

Nice for you, but a huge inflation problem for the rest of us.

I'm getting a divorce and it's actually INCREASING my net worth.  Because we had a TON of equity in our house (which I don't count for FIRE purposes).  Yes, she's getting a lot of the net worth as part of the separation, but the equity from the house more than makes up for it.

Pre-Divorce - $390k
Post-Divorce - $440k

The next 18 months will be hard because I'm paying a lot in alimony ($3200/month) because I'm the high earner.  After that, it'll go from $3200 per month to $2400 per month (for 3 years), then down to $400 per month (final 2 years).  I'm still maxing my 401k every month, which will make the next 18 months very, very tight from a cashflow perspective.  After that I get a bit more breathing room.

Man, divorce is expensive!  But I think I'll be OK.

It is expensive but yeah - it puts so much back under your control. I let my ex keep the house and I kept the 401k's Definatley got the best part of the deal there! I have roughly the same total amount of alimony but its spread out over a longer period. Figured that the longer I keep investments then the more they are worth and I can pay the alimony through that and still come out ahead. about 3 years post divorce I should be in a very good place financial. My net worth has climbed a lot since the settlement deal was signed!!

Feels pretty good now! keep climbing - it'll sonn be proved worthwhile - especially with the short tail of that alimony payment!

I officially cracked $250,000 last month, but didn't come over from the other thread until now. I found the 100-250K thread fun to watch, so I'm in for the next stretch. I haven't saved as much in first half of 2018 as I had hoped (several medical and unexpected home repairs), but happy we have been able to cash flow all of the challenges we've faced. We still saved a ton of money in our set it and forget it retirement accounts, just not as much of our 'extra' money. Hopefully that changes from here on out!

6/30/18: $253,884
7/31/18: $264,666

Hi there.
I left you guys some time ago when i moved up to the next thread.

then got divorced! Its not good for the net worth.

sooooo here we go again

nov-17 (settlement day for the divorce).
$300K
May-18
$375K

its heading the right way.

that divorce shit is expensive. costs more than money too!!

Nov-17 - 300k
May-18  - 375k
July -18 - 400k

woot! that the net figure. my liquid is higher and the situation is complicated due to the divorce. I'm happy with the rate of increase though.

Hello folks, I am joining this effort to make it to 500K.

I am not tracking net worth here since I am only considering my investments for FIRE.  If I consider my condo, my net worth would be more than a million but I am not selling the place for the next 20 years.

Here are the numbers:

11/30/2017   $228,503.37
12/31/2017   $237,592.34
1/31/2018       $254,582.33
2/28/2018       $257,732.67
3/31/2018       $265,481.54
4/30/2018       $269,342.61
5/31/2018       $277,950.05

6/30/2018  $285,254.10

A bit disappointed, added $9K this month but market did not help for a gain of $7K.  But hey, it's still positive!

11/30/2017  $228,503.37
12/31/2017  $237,592.34
1/31/2018    $254,582.33
2/28/2018    $257,732.67
3/31/2018    $265,481.54
4/30/2018    $269,342.61
5/31/2018    $277,950.05
6/30/2018    $285,254.10
7/31/2018    $299,199.64

Yayyyyyyy, that is more like it, good month in the market! Let's hope for an even better August folks!

I’m lucky my income is high because my spending has been complete garbage the last couple months. Some due to moving, some at no fault of my own, some just poor splurging and impulse buying. Hoping to get back on track in August, it’s a 3 paycheck month for me so I am hoping to be around $296,000 by Sep 1, then crest $300k in September no prob. Still aiming for $500k by early summer 2020.

Forgot to jump to this thread when I passed the $250k mark so will do now. Had a really good last year and starting to feel that snowball play a factor. My goal is to be over $500k within 2 years. I'm confident I can do it before that but I also have some household and educational expenses that will challenge me to get there. So August 1, 2020 = a half millionaire! Let's go!

Big jump this month! Company stock has been on a tear the past month or so (would probably be even higher if FB hadn't tanked the tech sector, thanks jerks). But more significantly, I sold my condo for a nice profit, and did it without a realtor so it kept the fees real low.
