Alright, I think I've spent enough time creeping in the background that I have to officially join!

Date          NW
Apr-16    $155,162
May-16    $157,463
Jun-16    $163,173
Jul-16    $165,471
Aug-16    $176,840
Sep-16    $184,298
Oct-16    $193,597
Nov-16    $209,710
Dec-16    $243,325
Jan-17    $252,675
Feb-17    $270,123
Mar-17    $273,511
Apr-17    $295,594
May-17    $300,987
Jun-17    $308,234
Jul-17    $316,951
Aug-17    $322,880

Current projections put us at 500k ~Mar 2019 which will mean it will be a total of 28 months to get from 250k-500k.

Time for an update - 7.5 months is an acceptable update interval right?

Sept-17     $340,213
Oct-17      $357,009
Nov-17     $366,722
Dec-17     $388,692
Jan-18      $398,508
Feb-18     $401,898
Mar-18     $403,332
Apr-18     $422,884

So although it's a weird interval it's almost exactly 100k since the last update.

Previous estimate for 500k was March 2019 but it looks like that has now pulled back slightly to Nov/Dec 2018, yay! I wouldn't bank on it yet though as income has dropped in the last 3 months with a loss of guaranteed overtime.

And congrats Rife on being o-so-close!

Finally made it to the new thread! My goal was to hit this thread by my 30th birthday (last week) and I made it the week prior! I’ve had a good jump since December as I’ve been working 70-80 hrs a week. I do contract work and only worked 4.5 months last year (mostly by choice) so didn’t make too much of a jump. Back on the wagon now until the next break between projects comes along!

Net worth based on savings and investments only. My only debt is a 5th wheel my wife and I typically live full time in - so we don’t count it for/against our net worth.

Excited to be joining this thread.  Tracking only invested assets.
3/30/2018: $251,491

Graduated the last thread in just under 2 years, hoping to do this one in closer to 1.5 years.

May 2018: 257,365. Not bad considering the state of the market.

Sept 2015 - $125k
Dec 2015 - $153k
March 2016 - $157k
June 2016 - $178
Sept 2016 - $192k

March 2017 - $301k
June 2017 - $320k
Sept 2017 - $339k
Dec 2017 - $364k
March 2018 - $368k

Today - $370k

I'm surprised to see a general upward trend still holding, given the massive fluctuations in the market lately.  I'll just keep dumping $$ in and eventually gains will take off again.

Missed a month cause I was on vacation in Asia.  Vacation ate some money, but I got my bonus for last year, which wasn't a ton, but I would have hoped it would have made a difference vs being sucked up by market losses.  I miss last year's market.  I thought my last my paycheck would get me across the 270 mark, but then more market fun.

I don't!  We got lucky with timing and were able to max both rIRAs while stocks were on sale.  I'm hoping things stay kinda flat for a few years actually.

*snip*
I miss last year's market.  I thought my last my paycheck would get me across the 270 mark, but then more market fun.

I don't!  We got lucky with timing and were able to max both rIRAs while stocks were on sale.  I'm hoping things stay kinda flat for a few years actually.

You're totally right, just more fun to see the total going up, though it's for sure nicer to buy stocks at the lower price while accumulating.

I'm back!  Although I did change my forum name (Previously FrozenBits).

Holy shit a lot has happened over the last 6 months.  We went to one income for my job change and then moved down to Washington.  Then I learned that I hated the new job, mostly because of the type of work I was doing and working remotely 100% of the time.  Turns out I like being around people.

Ended up getting another job that has been amazing so far.  Great work and great people but it's a 3-4 hour daily commute.  Then my wife got a job within 10 miles of where I work and her commute ended up being 4-5 hours a day.  We just got under contract on a house that's about 6 bikeable miles away from my job and a much easier 16-mile commute for my wife.  Between the two of us, our commutes should go from 7-8 hours a day to 1-2 hours a day.

After the job changes, our base salaries are up about 21% between the two of us but our housing costs drastically increased as well.  It came down to paying more for a house close to work in an area we love vs housing that was 30% cheaper and keeping the commute.  In the end, we believe the quality of life improvement will be worth the cost.

Going forward we are going to shoot for a savings rate of 20-40% while working to get our salaries as high as possible over the next several years.  We are both at fairly entry-level positions so we believe there is really good opportunity for salary growth.

January 2018 $390,088.91 -$119,841.70 $270,247.21
February 2018 $393,016.96 -$118,184.89 $274,832.08
March 2018 $388,528.30 -$117,901.07 $270,627.23

May 2018 $399,896.79 -$125,537.47 $274,359.32

I'm a bit surprised I am only down by $4k, as I spent over $10k on my house this month, not to mention other unusual expenses (I bought dance flooring for my apartment and I am so very pleased with this decision!). Hopefully I'll make up for it when my house sells this summer!

March 2018: $316k
April 2018: $327k
May 2018: $341k
