Net worth estimate is $370k this month, up a good chunk from the last time I posted (which I think was early September). Most of the jump accounts for increasing my estimate of our house worth about $15k, after having a. looked at the Zillow estimate (which is way, way higher than my own estimate) for the first time in almost a year, and b. heard about the sale prices of comparable houses in our neighborhood. Also had a jump of over $5k due to getting a quarterly statement from one of my husband's old 401ks. Plus the usual contributions to our current 401ks and some modest growth. Still pessimistic about getting to $500k before 2019 due to upcoming mat leave/child care spending increases but I guess it could happen.

Hoping to be at $500,000 in 08/2018.

July 2016 - $257,306
August 2016 - $264,625
September 2016 - $270,695
October 2016 - $283528

Excellent month due to military retirement accounting error and I am very happy with $25000 in 3 months - this is beyond what I expected.

2016 AUG:326k(+6k)
2016 SEP:336k(+10k)
2016 OCT:337k(+1k)

OCT: Market did poor. I made probably 7k AFTER EXPENSES but still only posted a 1k gain with the market drop.

+$85,000 this year so far. Aiming, for just under 100k in any given year of savings. Though, I am really only tracking worth gains, not savings directly. (So it includes gains in the market) Given 2 months left, and 15k more to go, I could hit this goal.

December 2013: 142K
March 2014: 178K
June 2014: 191K
September 2014: 205K
December 2014: 231K
March 2015: 232K (I self financed half a wedding this quarter, and began subsidizing now husband)
June 2015: 249K
September 2015: 272K (a new~30K in debt showed in this quarter from the first half of a 60K roof assessment I didn't have cash on hand for)
December 2015: 326K
March 2016: 342K
April 2016: 345K (so. slow.  investing/paying off between 8 and 10K a month and I'm not sure where it's going!  I think my home's zillow value was skewing my total)
May 2016: 352K
June 2016: 389K
July 2016: 415K
August 2016: 478K
September 2016: 457K
October 2016: 408K

OOF.  Backsliding hurts.  This is at least partially of my own doing, though.  Four reasons I can see:
1. I started accounting for a 45K "liability" against my condo, as it would realistically cost that much to liquidate and get out of my Manhattan condo.
2. I did this in part in response to zillow telling me apartment was worth a whole lot, and zillow also changed its mind on that in the last six weeks.
3. I maxed my IRA in January and 401K a couple months ago, so I've been throwing money towards my HELOC and taxable vanguard account.  The market hasn't been hot.
4. Having my first kid in eight weeks and finding weird pregnancy costs I did not expect.

Until this month I was still hoping for 500K by year's end, but I think that now is out of reach.

I'm in.  I rechecked our numbers at $361K, including house.  Without house it's about $130K.  Real estate is ridiculously crazy in our area right now.

Early last month we're at $295K.

Would love to hit $500K by 2020, so that's about $35-$50K\year.

$391K 3/11/16

Checking in at $402 3/24/16.  Not bad even though my stocks took a big dive yesterday.

Rounding up the month at $420K, mostly house.  Without house it's $129K.

As of today it's roughly $485k.  Without house it's $212.

Ran my own personal numbers the other day and was surprised that I'm close to $325K on my own... I thought DW and I together might be close to that.
Will save extra in Dec, since I'm front-loading most of my FY17 National Guard training days, which are paid leave from my day job plus a second paycheck at a higher rate, plus tax-free travel allowances.
AND, this is after some of my individual stocks took an election-related hit that I expect to be temporary. We could hit the mark by end of 2017 if things go well...

Going to hit two big milestones at the end of November.

I will be joining this club solo, as my individual net worth will crack just a hair over $250k

My SO and I's combined net worth will crack just a hair over $300k combined.

Finally feels like we are building momentum!

Coming back to update... for end of Nov

2015 DEC:252k

2016 JAN:260k(+8k)
2016 FEB:281k(+21k)
2016 MAR:285k(+4k)

2016 SEP:336k(+10k)
2016 OCT:337k(+1k)
2016 NOV:361k(+24k)

NOV: Market made magic happen. I also hit a new low in spending! My spending has been between 4k and 5k a month, Nov is ONLY $2300! This change, if we can keep it up or even keep it around 3k a month, will accelerate this process quite a bit hopefully!

+$109,000 this year so far. Aiming, for just under 100k in any given year of savings. Though, I am really only tracking worth gains, not savings directly. (So it includes gains in the market) Given 1 month(s) left, and (-9k) more to go, I hit this goal.

Biggest spending month of the year, with a new dining table, bathtub reglaze and bathroom paint refresh, and some vacation bookings. But, some fun milestones: investments cross $300k for the first time and the last of our high interest student loans were paid off. Need to start thinking about 2017 goals. Bring on December!

Nov 16: $363k
Oct 16: $351k
Jul 16: $330k
Apr 16: $290k
Jan 16: $241k
Dec 15: $256k

Jul 16: $339k
Aug 16: $347k

Oct 16: $357k
Nov 16: $367k

The growth hasn't been bad. We're expecting to lose the NK part of DINKs in April! We're excited for that, but the big effort of the last month or two is figuring out how to make this number keep going up with a new little one joining us. We've also been getting some of the home improvements done now so we aren't worry about them next year, which has been contributing to higher expenses. Even outside of that, too much spending and we need to do better.

Hoping to be at $500,000 in 08/2018.

July 2016 - $257,306
August 2016 - $264,625
September 2016 - $270,695
October 2016 - $283528
November 2016 - $291396

We hit our target for 2016, so we are happy. December will not see much movement.

Starting 10/2016 - $310,000 (rough estimate since we still have a few accounts left to be merged)
11/2016 - $328k

12/2016- $347k

Most of that is coming from fund performing well since we haven't been flexing our savings muscles as much lately due to buying a house. Happy that we're still going up even with closing costs and all that jazz. 2017 should be a great year for us!

Invested assets since I started tracking:

8-2016: $369,217
9-2016: $373,735
10-2016: $369,721
11-2016: $385,057

Don't think we'll hit $500k in 2017, but you never know.

Throwing my hat into the ring.

Investment portfolio crossed $250K early this week, currently at $254,856.22 combined savings and investments.  Net worth is around $280,000.  No real estate assets now, although that may change within the next year.  Hoping to achieve $500K investments/savings by July 1st 2020 at age 32 (my projected FI date).

I met my goal of $400,000 of cash and investments by year end.  My house has been paid off for about 6 years.  This feels wonderful.  I love the feeling of being secure and taking care of myself.  I love that nothing is truly a financial emergency.  Onward to $500,000.....hopefully at the end of 2018.

Great job everyone.  The variable for this month is the bonus situation.  I lovingly refer to it as "jelly-of-the-month club."  The past two years I got 10K, so fingers crossed.

Nice! Just got a similar size bonus post-tax.  It pushed me over 500K (barely) but am going to wait until year end to finalize the numbers and post.

It's pretty wild.  It's more or less known up front and part of your compensation, though.  Everyone gets the same amount at each level of seniority.  I think mine was 41K this year, waiting for transactions to show up.

Mine wasn't 50 but in the neighborhood when you consider ESOP contribution.  But the election rally helped as well. We are 100% employee owned and it's really deferred compensation.

We will finish the year somewhere around $376k NW with a $120k YOY gain. I'm happy to say that our savings rate was an all-time high at 55%, but I'd like to get this closer to 65%. I believe $500k by the end of next year is possible!

Dec 16: $376k
Nov 16: $363k
Oct 16: $351k
Jul 16: $330k
Apr 16: $290k
Dec 15: $256k

50k is a huge, sorry, YUGE bonus. I got 11k this year and I'm super excited about it.

I'll jump in and track only non-house investments. We have about 200k equity in our house, but the true value is hard to say, selling it would eat up some of that and we would still need a new house. Too much guesswork.

Our goal for this year is to finish the 529 for our 4 year old and start building up non-401k assets.

401k wife: 174000
401k mine: 105000
529: 6800
HSA wife: 5000
HSA mine: 2400

Total: 293200 Dec 2016

My cash bonus was 21. And then I got retirement contribution of 10.5 on top of that

Looking like I'm going to finish up the year at approx. $332k. Savings rate was approx. 43% after I dropped a bunch of money on hobby stuff this year. It ought to be back in the realm of normal next year.

So,

Dec. 2015 = ~$288k (corrected, pension money was being misallocated and fixed in Feb.)
Dec. 2016 = ~$332k

For a net of +$44k this year.

Not as fantastic as some here at MMM, but pretty badass for a tradesman who had 10+ weeks off this year. Construction, the world's best paying part-time job... Haha.
