Don't have an exact total, but today's rally put me around $251,000.  I'll edit this post with exact numbers when Mint updates.  Cya in the 250+ thread!
Congrats!  I’d say see you in the 250-500 race, but seeing how long (short) this one took you, you might be racing to $1m by the time I get there haha

You have until the end of 2024 to join me there before I move on!  You can do it!!!

Ok, that should be doable, I’ll add getting to the 250-500 thread in time for your graduation to my financial goals list.  I’m aiming for fairly early 2024 to graduate, so that gives me some buffer

I've been interested in these race threads for a while but wasn't sure where I fit in.  Today I decided to add up the accounts (401k, Roth, and cash savings); I did not include savings set aside to be spent (dog/car/travel accts), or the mortgage.

2022 11  $234,446

I've had it so compartmentalized in my head that I am pleasantly surprised at the total.  Race-wise, I'm more of a caboose than a 4-min miler, so I'll probably be here a while yet (unless of course, markets pick up).

Just made it! All in all, it took me two and a half years - a year and a half more than I originally predicted. I'm going to hop over the the 250-500k thread, but depending on how the market behaves, I might be back again. Keep it up everyone!

Dec 1st - $189,500  (+$12,800)

Wow, seems like all those contributions while the market was completely tanked are helping big time as it comes back up.  Another month like this and I could see $200k by the end of the year, although I honestly won’t be disappointed if the market doesn’t come back up too quickly.  I could use as much time with lower prices as I can get in this phase

Hey All!
It's been over a year since I posted here. We held on through the 2022 market slump at least, maxing out our accounts and buying

Jan 1st - $162,300
Feb 1st - $160,600 (-$1700)
Mar 1st - $161,100 (+$500)
Apr 1st - $163,800 (+$2700)
May 1st - $160,400 (-$3400)
June 1st - $165,300 (+$4900)
July 1st - $159,100  (-$6100)
Aug 1st - $166,900  (+$7800)
Sept 1st -$166,500  (-$400)
Oct 1st - $166,600  (+$100)
Nov 1st - $176,700  (+$10,100)
Dec 1st - $189,500  (+$12,800)

Wow, seems like all those contributions while the market was completely tanked are helping big time as it comes back up.  Another month like this and I could see $200k by the end of the year, although I honestly won’t be disappointed if the market doesn’t come back up too quickly.  I could use as much time with lower prices as I can get in this phase

I'm with you, @JAYSLOL .  It's been nice to buy at discounts... buying VTSAX below $100 is certainly preferable to $118 like it was at the beginning of the year.  Though if all goes as designed, some day $118 will look like a steal, too.

Well, that’s it for 2022, $30.7k increase is not bad considering the market.  If the market recovers to at least the old high by the end of 2023 then I’m hoping to graduate by the end of the year, which would be incredibly exciting, but if the market stays lower I won’t be too disappointed since in the long run it’ll be a good thing for me

January 2022: 191k€
April: 209k€
May: 168k€
June: 175k€
July: 147k€
September: 172k€
October: 160k€
December: 172k€

Still exactly 172k on the 31st of December, it's a strange feeling to invest money all year round and end the year with less than when I started but I own much more stocks now and that's the important part I think.

Also I survived 2 rounds of layoffs and I'm grateful for that.

Dec2022: Its been about 6 months since I posted last - I have kept up with my finances - just haven't posted on here for a while. Bought a house and got married, so the way my finances are being reported has changed a little, but I am reporting my individual retirement type accounts only and nothing for the house (probably worth less than we paid for it any way). Not a 100% direct comparison now that we have joined finances, but as close as I am going to get. Markets have been a little bit of a roller coaster and due to some housing costs I have not been contributing, but start with this next paycheck. I didn't meet my goal of hitting $150k by June of this year, so I will update my goal to June of 2023.

Been a few months since i've posted in here. I was still able to save a bunch of money in 2022 while working remotely in 5 countries and 4 states and purchasing a duplex this summer with my partner, so I feel pretty fulfilled this way. Yes, I definitely spent a bit more money in order to do the traveling BUT it was very satisfying to do so. I have some goals to spend less this year, especially while I'm at home, but overall I love that I can still work towards my goals while enjoying my life now. On top of that, the market really did not help me out much, but I'm in it for the longhaul so hopefully it all starts to come back up and helps me get over that $250k threshold quickly! (Note: these numbers only include cash/investment/retirement accounts, does not include real estate)

01-2022   $219,786.85
02-2022   $222,730.67
03-2022   $229,390.39
04-2022   $217,373.34
05-2022   $212,224.37
06-2022   $207,075.40
07-2022   $226,086.23
08-2022   $223,375.11
09-2022   $219,752.26
10-2022   $225,448.41
11-2022   $233,349.27
12-2022   $241,250.12

I have a little confession to make.  I have (had) two paid-off houses that I've never included in my net worth for these challenges because reasons.  Well, I sold one of those houses and it closed yesterday.  So, that's going to bump me from ~$245k to well above $250k once the check clears.  So, I guess I'll be joining the next race.  Good luck all.

Just crossed the $200k mark today.  If the market continues to recover, I might actually be able to graduate this year, but I’d honestly rather it stay low for as long as possible (3-5 years, not 30-50 years lol, that would suck)

February 2021: $126,120
March 2021: $131,985
April 2021: $137,614
May 2021: $143,399
*spent 15k on a house down payment, my race #'s do not include new-found home equity*
Dec 2021: $155,344
Jan 2022: $159,501
Jan 2023: $190,798

Wow, it's been a year since I posted! Cash flowed a 25k home improvement project for water remediation in early 2022. All that considered, I'm happy with my progress (numbers still don't count home equity).
