Right now, that’s better than over 6mil people within the United States.  I consider myself very lucky to be in that same company with you

I'm invested pretty aggressively overall, intentionally.  I'm not worried at all.  I can hardly remember to look at the numbers anymore with so much other stuff going on, hence how late this update is.  But I did set up an auto-invest in Vanguard for $600 each month, so there's that.   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

11/1/19 - $155k
12/1/19 - $166k

Markets were/are rough, but I moved out of my apartment at the end of march to move in with some family while my SO and I look for a house in the area. The savings from rent and quarantining. Happy to be able to WFH with a high income, fingers crossed I won'e be the next casualty in layoffs because work is slowwwwww. Would've like to be moving past the 250k mark soon, but honestly just happy to be healthy and employed these days.

I am happy to see much of everybody recovering over the last month. I`ll be posting where we stand on Saturday, but it is crazy to see that around March 23rd we were around $40K lower than we were on Feb. 19th. However, as of today we are just a few thousand shy of where we were in mid Feb with the continuing contributions combined with a month of recovery. Like some of you have said, we are also thankful to still have our jobs as well. Keep your chin up my friends.

10/19/18 $75k
1/31/19 $80k
2/28/19 $100k

The market is an absolute rocketship. I wish it would have stayed weak for longer.

Tomorrow I'll be at $177k after I pay rent and taxes :/

I am a 46y/o single mom recovering from prior bad spending habits. I am self employed with irregular income (and irregular investing) but it averages out at about 70k/yr net - before taxes. I am only tracking my investments. Thanks for sharing my journey!

2018 -  $78,122
2019 -  $118,693
Jan/2020 -  $118,495
Mar/2020 - $97,855
Apr/2020 - $104,648

I'm back in the club!!!

Because I know my income will be low this year thanks to the pandemic, and because I always want to meet a certain taxable income to maximize my tax planning, I  converted $6800 of my IRA to my Roth IRA while my balance was down. I will probably convert more later but I want to see how the year goes. I rebalanced my holdings this morning. I also maxed out my Roth IRA contribution ($6000) in April so that is new money invested in April, meaning that what the gains from March to April is not due to the market, it is due to my hard work. I like it better when the market does the heavy lifting for me! But eventually it will do that again.

4/3/20  $214,113.72
4/30/20 $241,361.42   Encouraging, regained 32,159.71 from the lowest point that I recorded.

Happy to still be working and saving. However, almost all of this gain is from the market recovering some of its covid losses. Between my cash balances in investment accounts, a large tax return, and rebalancing some bonds, I was fortunate to be able to buy approx 50k in equities at a nice discount.

Almost back to pre-coronavirus totals.  I'm leaving my graduation goal where it is, but it's looking less and less likely I'll make it by then.

Note: all numbers are from the 1st of the month. Only tracking investments, no savings, assets, etc.

Jan 2020: $100,566
Feb 2020: $107,987 (+7,421) [+7.38%]
Mar 2020: $96,513 (-11,474) [-10.62%]
Apr 2020: $90,626 (-5,887) [-6.09%]
May 2020: $104,595 (+13,969) [+15.41%]

Year-to-date change: +$4,029 [+4.00%]

Back in the $100K club! Been quite a ride over the last 30 days and I doubt the whole thing is over. A pretty good mix of continuing my normal contributions, adding a few extra contributions into a down market, and the correction earlier this month. Almost back to where I was in February and hoping I don't fall back below $100K again!

I don't know if the worst is behind us or not, but I have to imagine that even if this turns into a full blown recession, the market has already taken most of its losses.

For context: I'm 30 in a HCOL city. I'm married, but these are my own numbers since we keep our finances separate. Includes cash, retirement, and credit cards, which are used for normal expenses and paid off in full every month.

3/18: $48,533.91 (found MMM and started tracking)
3/19: $83,762.93
8/19: $101,572.33 (graduated to this thread)
9/19: $104,368.69 (+2,796.36, +2.75%)
10/19: $107,279.56 (+2,910.87, +2.79%)
11/19: $111,107.47 (+3,827.91, +3.57%)
12/19: $112,883.69 (+1,776.22, +1.60%)
1/20: $117,811.45 (+4,927.26, +4.37%)
2/20: $124,417.62 (+6,606.17, +5.61%)
3/20: $118,287.76 (-6,129.86, -4.93%)
4/20: $109,838.67 (-8,449.09, -7.14%)
5/20: $124,495.18 (+14,656.51, +13.34%)

Thanks to the market for bringing me back up to February levels. The stimulus check also helped some.

Hi all! Finally joining this thread after spending a few years in the 10K to 100K thread. Here's my history from that thread:

9/29/17 - $11,511
6/30/18 - $36,000
7/31/18 - $38,676
8/31/18 - $40,277
9/30/18 - $50,572
10/31/18 - $46,085
11/30/18 - $48,956
12/31/18 - $46,003
1/31/19 - $53,028
2/28/19 - $58,276
3/31/2019 - $67,340
4/30/2019 - $70,674
5/31/2019 - $69,853
6/30/2019 - $75,757
7/31/2019 - $78,206
8/31/2019 - $83,589
9/30/2019 - $83,292
10/31/2019 - $87,539
11/30/2019 - $98,502
12/31/2019 - $96,225
1/31/2020 - $96,048
2/29/2020 - $94,556
3/31/2020 - $92,438
4/30/2020 - $101,897

This was previously just my personal net worth, however with the graduation I've decided to move to household net worth, so Mrs. Fiction gets to join the fun too. It makes too much sense at this point, given how intertwined our finances have become.

Background - I'm 35 and my wife is 31. DD is two and we have another on the way this summer. Looking to buy a house around this time next year.

Total joint net worth as of 4/30/2020 is $203,198. We are debt-free outside of whatever is on our credit cards, which always get paid each month.

With some market cooperation, some inspiration and some hard work (and some luck!) We just might be able to graduate this thread by the end of the year.

Looking forward to following along with everyone's progress!

Congrats on making it to the 100K thread and also congrats on combining incomes! That's a HUGE step and one I suspect you will be glad you took. Based on your current net worth, I bet you'll be blowing out of here soon! haha

I’m jumping in this thread with a few ideas and thoughts in mind. I don’t plan to add house equity or extras like that. I’m not even going to add the spouse’s 401k. I’ll be solely tracking
My 401k and my Roth IRA Numbers to go toward the goal of $250k. I may add the savings account numbers later, but most of that pays toward the last of my mortgage and a basement remodel right now.

My stats:

Jul2019 — $101953
Aug2019 — $106277
Sep2019 — $111050
Oct2019 — $114791
Nov2019 — $120215
Dec2019 — $122692
Jan2020 — $120521
Feb2020 — $123625
Mar2020 — $124248
Apr2020 — $133240

Numbers updated thru the last day of the month

Coronavirus update; thus far I minimized most losses in my account.  I’ve been using a fairly good plan and avoid emotional moves with the market.
There was a moment I jumped back in according to the plan, but unfortunately lost 5%. Oh well.  You win some and you lose some.

I hope others were able to make adjustments and protect their investments. Times are a bit strange right now; however, I anticipate we will recover once this virus moves on.
Keep safe everyone!

Hi all! Finally joining this thread after spending a few years in the 10K to 100K thread. Here's my history from that thread:

9/29/17 - $11,511
6/30/18 - $36,000
7/31/18 - $38,676
8/31/18 - $40,277
9/30/18 - $50,572
10/31/18 - $46,085
11/30/18 - $48,956
12/31/18 - $46,003
1/31/19 - $53,028
2/28/19 - $58,276
3/31/2019 - $67,340
4/30/2019 - $70,674
5/31/2019 - $69,853
6/30/2019 - $75,757
7/31/2019 - $78,206
8/31/2019 - $83,589
9/30/2019 - $83,292
10/31/2019 - $87,539
11/30/2019 - $98,502
12/31/2019 - $96,225
1/31/2020 - $96,048
2/29/2020 - $94,556
3/31/2020 - $92,438
4/30/2020 - $101,897

This was previously just my personal net worth, however with the graduation I've decided to move to household net worth, so Mrs. Fiction gets to join the fun too. It makes too much sense at this point, given how intertwined our finances have become.

Background - I'm 35 and my wife is 31. DD is two and we have another on the way this summer. Looking to buy a house around this time next year.

Total joint net worth as of 4/30/2020 is $203,198. We are debt-free outside of whatever is on our credit cards, which always get paid each month.

With some market cooperation, some inspiration and some hard work (and some luck!) We just might be able to graduate this thread by the end of the year.

Looking forward to following along with everyone's progress!

Congrats on making it to the 100K thread and also congrats on combining incomes! That's a HUGE step and one I suspect you will be glad you took. Based on your current net worth, I bet you'll be blowing out of here soon! haha

Thank you for the warm welcome, Alcon835! Just making it to this thread feels insane to me, given where I was a few short years ago.

Truth be told we probably could have combined things for "gauntlet" purposes sooner, but I really wanted to complete the 100K challenge on my "own". (As much as these things can be your own when you've been married for 5 years and have a kiddo). It was an important milestone for me. I'd love, love, love to graduate by year end, going to do what I can to make that happen. Having the second kiddo on the way complicates things a bit, but as long as the market cooperates and a few other things fall into place, I think we can get there.

Entirely too much debt- so working on that. But otherwise below is our net worth ( Not counting equity in items like home or vehicles). I update on the first day of each month.

Jan 20:164,853
Feb : 174,570
March: 175,762
April: 146,344
May: 147,636

I haven't looked at my husband's portfolio since April. I'll try to look in May and hopefully have quite a bit of rebound for my June 1st update.

Skipped checking in for April.  This update captures annual bonus, profit sharing and stimulus funds being invested.  I no longer care to speculate when I'll graduate to the next thread, but I'll keep shoveling money in.
