Three paycheck month! Cryptos were a rollercoaster but they're up a lot today. Tomorrow my Market Gains may go down by 500. Didn't save a lot this month but I know next month is going to be great.

06-17: $127,000
07-17: $134,794
08-17: $138,767
09-17: $139,162

Not the best of months, a stock pick has lost a significant amount this month (Teaches me to stock pick). Also I have my wedding coming up so there is a fair few expenses on the horizon. Just have to keep plugging away 250k here we come :p

06-17: $127,000
07-17: $134,794
08-17: $138,767
09-17: $139,162
10-17: $154,318

Big jump this month, superannuation has gone up plus some nice gains in the market. Can only hope that this month is just as good, only time will tell.

I busted through that 200k mark!!!  I finally received my tax returns from 2016 which was around 5k, which made a huge difference!  I feel like I have a limited time left in here before I'm on to the next challenge.  Hopefully my savings can keep it up!

Can I play? For a family of two (plus 2 dogs and a cat), we both work as RNs now but up until this month my wife was going to nursing school, working part time etc. So this month was the first month we had the full dual income. Anyway, tracking everything but the vehicles - all real estate, pension values, retirement accounts, and cash, minus all debts. Negative values in red

6/1/2017 - $115,738
6/30/2017 $117,232 ~ +1.29%
7/31/2017 $119,087 ~ +1.58%
8/31/2017 $123,218 ~ +3.47%

9/30/2017 $123,886 ~ +0.54%

Number based on Mint.

Spendy pants vacation took most of what I would normally have saved... The experience was worth the price, just need to buckle down this month not spend.

Only saved ~$6,500 this month so the market made up the difference.  Received our flood ins. advance and are still waiting on the contractor for our most recent bill so our NW will drop pretty soon.

Sept. 1 2017-  131,000
Oct.  1  2017-  131,500

Going up $500 is a great thing considering that I spent $9000 on appliances for my home.  For those of you noticing a redundancy in my comments about housing spends, it is even more pronounced of a tedious presence on my end IRL.  Almost two months over due date, but at least largely on budget.   The fact I'm treading water at all is outstanding to me-but I'm ready to start re-investing sooner than later!

This is a pretty poor effort from myself. It's not poor from saving less but I typically get a decent bonus of say $10k but this year it was $2k. The markets also weren't great. I also had expectations of breaking $200k. Still next update should push us over $200k and we are still saving and life is good. Well it's a nightmare with 2 teenagers who have been struggling but apart from that it's good.

I've been tracking investments for a while, but never joined this thread. I'll add some historical here too:

31-Oct-16: $121,639
30-Nov-16: $128,335
31-Dec-16: $134,179

31-Jan-17: $140,623
28-Feb-17: $148,087
31-Mar-17: $153,745
30-Jun-17: $171,538
31-Jul-17: $179,124
31-Aug-17: $180,682
30-Sep-17: $192,217

It's certainly been a good year for returns, but we also really ramped up our savings starting in Oct. 2016 (conveniently also when I started tracking) and have been lucky enough to earn raises this year for both DH and I that allowed us to up our contributions even more. Hope to not be here too long! Assuming the market doesn't crash, we should easily hit $200,000 by the end of 2017 and $250,000 by this time mid-2018!

Jun 2017 - $129,729.60
Oct 2017 - $144,100.18

Yikes, the last time I reported in was June! Things are still moving in an upward direction and I just scheduled a transfer to my Roth IRA maxing it out for the year. This is my first year maxing both 401k and an IRA. Yay! I also think I can get myself to $150k before the end of the year which will be just a bit more than a year to get from $100k to $150k.

Oh, and my husband said FU and quit his job in August. He's now living the dream as a self employed blacksmith.

16th March 2017 - $156,970.56
14th April 2017 - $172,158.80 (+$15,188.24)
18th May 2017 - $187,986.35 (+$15,827.55)
18th June 2017 - $219,742.03 (+$31,755.68) Whatever small amount I had in cryptocurrencies went bonkers 😳
14th July 2017 - $200,846.03 (-$18,896) - Vanguard dropped over 5% and the crypto portfolio dropped 34%. Additionally I paid for house renovation, moving, bond, and prepaid the rent. So the drop may look dramatic but it's really where it was 6 weeks ago. Also I own way more Vanguard units now than during the last update.
17th August 2017 - $228,106.09 (+$27,260.06) - Back on track, although I still have some big expenses coming up in the near future. Hoping to graduate by the end of October 2017.
26th September 2017 - $228,382.36 (+$276.27) - cryptos went down by the same amount as what I saved. I'm done with the big house related expenses now.
13th October 2017 - $256,067.92 (+$27,685.56) - Looks like I'm done here. Markets went back up + I'm back to big savings. My portfolio is pretty volatile due to the crypto exposure so it may come back under 250k at any point of time. Rebalancing would trigger massive tax so I'm leaving it for now. See you in the next thread. Good luck all!

September was another great month to me :-) Up 4% (7,421.13) to $193,221.02. On track to hit 200k this year unless stocks go on sale, and hope to graduate by my birthday next year (late August)!

Happy October : )

9/15/17   $101,268
10/14/17   $106,265

Positives:
I got a roommate last month, she is really nice and paid me early on Paypal, didn't even have to ask.
Not included in this months, but I got a recognition award yesterday that comes with a cash bonus. Its the first time I've gotten one and It felt good to be singled out.

Negatives:
Apparently my eyes decided to get worse for the first time since 2013, just replaced the lenses since my frames work just fine.

Yup, i did what MMM does right in his net worth post
https://www.mrmoneymustache.com/2015/01/26/calculating-net-worth/

How much the house is worth - what's left over on the mortgage = how much we own of it, which is around a 100K.
And I tried to stay conservative and use how much we paid, instead of how much it's listed for on Zillow or how much I've seen houses on our street sell for, because that would be quite a bit more, but who knows how stable that is when/if we actually sell it, so I don't want to count on that.

First, congratulations to those have graduated the group!

AS for us....

4/5/17 - 101,800 (joined the 'group')
10/19/17 - 156,200

Thanks to the nice market gains and continued contributions, our NW (home equity not included) has steadily risen. Could we have done better? Sure. But we like our current balance of spending/saving.

Jumping into this thread to track cash/investments only, NW has too much tied up in real estate in a crazy market.

October 2017: $152,468
