2022 11  $234,446

2022 12 - Company changed who held our 401k's - no access to account
2023 01 $253,622

Pleasantly surprised.  Mostly just an uptick in the market though, I probably added less than 3k for the months of Dec/Jan.  Numbers are 401k, Roth IRA, and cash savings.

Last month our NW shot up by over $10k for the first time. Score!

Thank you, stock market.
It has grown an additional $4k since then due to market movements as well as adding to our savings.

After going through 2022, I am reminded not to get attached. We don't know where the market will go next.
However, it's good to appreciate progress!

I'm excited to submit my first post to the forum!  On the one hand, we are late bloomers having first heard about the FIRE movement about a year ago at age 43.  On the other hand, we have been saving our whole lives, which has given us a bit of a head start.  We had been "investing" in life insurance and money market accounts and other types of CDs for years.  Over the last year, we have poured most of our liquid assets into an msci world ETF.  I will track our depot account level here.  We are well on our way to 250k and I'm happy to have this chance for financial independence before the age of 67!  Looking forward to seeing everyone's progress on this board!

@jdhansen @JAYSLOL  Thank you for the welcome!

19th October, 2021 - 200,000 EUR
03rd November, 2021 - 204,755 EUR
01st December, 2021 - 208,169 EUR
Goal: 300,000 EUR in April 2024

I was contemplating the saying, "The harder I work, the luckier I get."  That, or similar, was the mantra I grew up with.  Sometimes I have the urge to "work harder" on FIRE.  Actually, there is nothing to do but set the target contributions and wait.
Hi Everyone, we‘re still contributing every month. Pretty soon I‘ll be able to report a higher Watermark!
Until then, all the best!

As expected, I'm still in this thread despite surpassing the goal the month previous. Decline is due to $8000 Invisalign payment and poor market performance. Still surprised I'm only down $4500, so I consider that an accomplishment.

I'm late to the game, and this isn't my net worth, but I have one particular investment account that we're growing which I want to track, so why not put it here and get some added accountability and encouragement?

2.1.23 (or thereabouts): $181,586.

Here's hoping for $250k by 2024.  (One can start off optimistically, at least.)

Started reading MMM in Dec19, been coming along nicely.

We've got a big move coming up to one of the most expensive locations to live in the world.. but it comes with a pay bump that should cover for the increase in living cost and over time reduce our tax burden. If all goes well I'll be hitting 220k this year, but as I am holding a lot of cash in JPY right now FX is being a big pain in the butt (hence the drop in March just now which is all FX loss :')).

Dec 2022 $220,122
Feb 2023 $240,104

Up and down we seem to go, but at least the trend is still in the positive direction from the end of last year.

I am almost where I was in December 2021...

You own much more assets now than you did in December 2021, don't you?
I'm starting to enjoy this market a lot: I've been accumulating at these low prices for the past 2 years. My networth doesn't grow much but I have much more assets, which means that when their prices will rise again, so will my networth. We're the guys with a networth < 250k, we benefit a lot from lower priced assets!

Yep, that's how I look at it too.  I'm so glad I'm in accumulation mode while the markets are down.  Stocks are on sale!

I took a ~15K paycut for stress and telework, and a 2 month vacation last year, making 80K/yr now, but with potential to make 130K/yr in around 5 yrs (or 50-80K if I go part time which is possible with this job!). I also added 20K to my student loans since a parent helped me with this amount (adding interest) while I was in college, and although never spoken of as a loan, I'm intending to repay them since their current financial situation isn't great.
NW needle hasn't moved as fast as it used to for reasons above and market correction (pretty much 100% VTI portfolio here).

On a side note, I've been acting a little irrationally with money. I'm still saving a decent amount (~50-60%SR), but I'm only contributing the minimum for company match right now to my 401K ever since I started at my new job last september. It's hard to say if it's due to the paycut, macroeconomy anxieties... Another thing is I found a new career path where part time work is potentially a reality in 5 yrs, so I think I might do a high-paid (50-80K counts as that for me :)) coast/barista fire instead of needing to rely on roth ladders and all that. Regardless, I think I'll try and get my self to start contributing the max again soon.
