Up $2,805.29, to $85, 354.64. Was able to pick up some call to offset a few extra expenses coming due. Still eyeing Feb/Mar for graduation.

Market headwinds continue, but some additional income (hike, arrears and canada tax benefits arrears) has kicked in to push the savings higher and buy more into the uncertain market.
June 2015: $65,550
July 2015: $74,250
Aug 2015: $73,900
Sep 2015: $78,300

90K looks difficult by Dec 2015. But still on target for 100k by Mar / Apr 2016.
Made a minor accounting adjustment. Used to consider the 2nd paycheck of the month for the following month's budgeting. But that used to cause a bit of confusion in calculations. I had to make that adjustment eventually and I bit the bullet this month. That reflects in the sudden jump of close to 7700 this month.
But this number is a correct reflection of NetWorth (all the accounts put together) as they stand on 31st Oct 2015 .

June 2015: $65,550
July 2015: $74,250
Aug 2015: $73,900
Sep 2015: $78,300
Oct 2015: $86,014
Steady progress and ~2,600 growth this month despite a lot of un-planned expenses this month. A bit of tightening up to do in the holiday season to end the year on a high.

June 2015: $65,550
July 2015: $74,250
Aug 2015: $73,900
Sep 2015: $78,300
Oct 2015: $86,014
Nov 2015: $88,620

2/1/2015 - $47,296.00
3/9/15 - PC Net Worth $53,877
4/1/2015 - $60,080.00
5/1/2015 - $63,589.00
6/1/2015 - $65,962.00
6/26/2015 - $70,181.00
7/31/2015 - $72,988.00
9/1/2015 - $73,706.00
10/2/2015 - $76,853.00
10/30/2015 - $80,747.00

11/30/2015 - $95,741.00

I just passed the 5 year mark at work which increased my vested pension amount substantially. I can see the finish line but the next month or two will be much slower with christmas and some medical bills coming in.

Market went sideways, so NW went up by the amount saved ($2k), which now puts my family at $55,100, up from $0 in July 2014.

9/1: $78,487.07
10/1: $81,428.69
11/1: $87,887.66
12/1: $90,220.55

Smaller increase than last month (no huge market gains), but ever upward!! With three paychecks this month and a stipend for my winter coaching position, December should be a great month for the NW.

Still aiming to hit $100,000 sometime in the March-May time frame - hoping for March.

Thanks!  I've been lurking on here since October, and finally decided to join up today.  It's been inspiring to read about so many successes, and a great motivator for me.  Aiming to learn as much as I can from you all.

Welcome AcftW!

my update:
9/1/2015   $57,358.64
10/1/2015 $59,144.58
11/1/2015 $63,499.72
12/1/2015 $65,796.16

My goal is to start the new year breaking the $70K barrier, should be doable as December is sort of a 3 pay cheque month (3rd pay cheque on January 1 and I do my NW update the 1st of each month). If things go well, I think I can graduate from this group by end of summer 2016. Happy saving to all!

I've read MMM for about a year now, but I'm new to the forums. I was recently promoted at work and my family and I are making a cross-country move as part of the transfer. My wife and I are 27, with no children and no student loan debt. We do carry a significant amount of CC debt (all at 0% with the use of balance transfer checks (2-3% per transaction)). We are currently trying to max out all tax-advantaged accounts (~50k/year, primary) while also paying down the CC debt (secondary). Our current goal is to reach $100k in net worth by June 2016 and $250k by her 30th birthday, with an eye towards FIRE sometime in our late 30s. We are also wanting to raise a family, but aren't planning on having children anytime in the next few years. Below is our net worth trajectory over the past 9 months:

March 2015: $36,337
April 2015: $38,120
May 2015: $42,347
June 2015: $47,346
July 2015: $56,109
August 2015: $59,985
September 2015: $59,189
October 2015: $65,204
November 2015: $67,240

December 2015: $66,735

[/quote]

Took a drop due to performance of stock market, but was able to snatch up quite a few shares on the cheap...will bode well for 2016!

I am based in Switzerland, thus calculating in Swiss Francs (CHF), which at the moment is trading almost 1-to-1 to the USD. Following numbers are just my invested money (I am all in, so no emergency account, just what I need for 1 month & ignoring the value of my apartment as It is not an investment and 95% of it is financed by mortgages):

January 2015: CHF 49,805
...
November 2015: CHF 66,524

Looks like I'll end 2015 at almost exactly 50K NW. I'm not sure what my NW was this time last year, as I wasn't tracking it particularly closely, but I'd guess 29K plus-or-minus. A reasonable goal for 2016 is 25K saved; my stretch goal is 35K.

Lower than avg expenses + holiday OT = good month. Up over 5k (6.02%) to just over 90K. Home stretch! ;).

Up 56,770.74 for the year.

I am based in Switzerland, thus calculating in Swiss Francs (CHF almost same as USD):

January 2015: CHF 49,805

November 2015: CHF 66,524

December 2015: CHF 66,375
Down a little bit, but I get a salary rise of about 5% and a bonus for 2015 in January. So hopefully I can save and invest more in 2016. Target is to get to 100k by end of 2016; also depending on the market of course.

Nice pooplips!

We hit $57,650 at the end of the year. January is not going to be good for the NW, I suspect. Something like $9k in unusual expenses on top of the usual $3k spending with only about $6k of net income (+ about $850 in deductions/savings so about $7k). -$5k here we come! If I can break it out over a couple of months or reduce it via credit card rewards, I will. It's still going to hurt though.

Yeah I just read that on your journal this morning. We might not have a great January as well with some medical bills coming due but so it goes. I dont know about you but I think 2016 is going to be a bad ass year for anyone with "poop" in their username. ;)

I broke my Goal of 70k networth to start 2016.
$70,395.59 to be exact, an increase of 6.5%.
I think I'll slow down on growth a little over the next few months with things like ei and cpp (canada) payments coming off the paycheques again, as well as property taxes, insurance, etc. Hoping to graduate from this group in 2016. Conservative target is by end of December but if things go alright I might be able to get it done by the end of Summer.

Happy new year to all, may your stache start to curl in 2016!

A very small increase from last month due to less savings, but 2015 ends with an overall increase of 67%.

I have a bit of mixed feelings about the conditions for 2016. The rate which controls the investment tax rate and student loan interest rate is dropping towards zero, but the tax code was changed to ensure a minimum investment tax rate.

Lower than avg expenses + holiday OT = good month. Up over 5k (6.02%) to just over 90K. Home stretch! ;).

Up 56,770.74 for the year.
Nice jump! We're almost there

Happy New Year! Congrats on reaching your goal!

1/1: $94,782.59

When I started tracking net worth (in August), I estimated that it'd take me until June 2016 to hit $100k...wow! Barring a crisis, I should cross the $100k threshold in March 2016. Cool!

Also proud of my total 2015 increase in net worth: $30,000

Congrats on the awesome savings, everyone!

I made it!  I crossed $100,000 shortly before Christmas, then held my breath while the markets zig zagged this past week.  But I just checked and I'm still north of $100k, therefore making it officially official.

$40,061 - 1 Dec 2015
$43,153 - 1 Jan 2016

Slowly but surely.  Market got me a bit, but stayed in the black.

Finally being able to join the race!

I'm probably getting married in a few years, and my pay is far from high, so this will be a challenge, but I'd like to set the time limit at: 12/31/2020 max
It will be good motivation to ask for a raise/apply to better jobs, and keep on being mustachian in all other areas...

Quick history of my finances:
dec 2011   -8 700 €
dec 2012   -8 800 €
dec 2013   -4 270 €
dec 2014    1 660 €
dec 2015   13 560 € (guess which year I met MMM ^^)

I'll be joining this thread for 2016.  My NW may actually decrease this year due to a job change.  Posting mostly to hold myself accountable for my results.

Total Assets: $174,000
Total Debt (including mortgage): $141,426

Jan 2016 - $32,795

Just hit $100k in investment for the first time on December 28th.  Took us roughly 2 years and 10 months from our first investment.  I'm curious to see how long the next $100k takes.

I've passed 100k if I factor in home equity, but I closed the year around 61k invested - I'm hoping to break 100k just in investments in 2016, so I'll stick around! :D

Okay - time to join this one. I want to make this past 100k this year and we (wife and myself) should be able to do that easily mainly because the mortgage is about to be paid off. I'm not including home equity or super (Australian retirement account that you can't access until 60).

4th January 2016 : 55k.

Realistically, I'm looking to hit $75K by the end of 2016, with a stretch-goal of $80K. I can't wait to hit $100K!

I have a good job, but I can't see myself staying in it for 5 more years. Great benefits, but I am fairly bored in it and would like to do other things with my life. I think if I could get a NW of $100K with about $20K in cash, I could feel comfortable with the risk of trying something else. I just want to have the cushion of being able to quit anything I'm not happy with. The last thing I want to do is quit my ho-hum but secure job for something that sounds good but turns out to be pure misery. I've had a pure misery job, know how easily I could be in one and know a great deal of people continue in one because they have no other choice.  I want to keep at least 1-yr of living expenses on hand for bugging out.
