I realize I've been updating the google doc well, but not so much in here..  Latest update:

1/10/18: 53,071
1/11/18: 56,223 (+3152)
1/12/18: 60,605 (+4382)
1/01/19: 67,786 (+7181)
1/02/19: 75,133 (+7347)

Progressing at a steady clip. Been benefitting from some Gauntlet challenges this year, and heavily changed my pre-tax deductions, while working to maximize post-tax savings. Not sure how sustainable this growth is, but the numbers are nice to see.

February numbers are in!

Dec 2017 €14.300
June 2018 €23.300 (+9k over 6 months)
July 2018 €24.400 (+1.100)
Aug 2018 €25.700 (+1.300)
Sept 2018 €26.100 (+400)
Oct 2018 €26.100 (+0)
Nov 2018 €29.100 (+3.000!!)
Dec 2018 €35.600 (+6.500)
Jan 2019 €39.000 (+3.400)
Feb 2019 €40.700 (+1.700)

About 750 of that is due to the stock market so my expenses have actually been higher than they were supposed to be. Still an excellent month though! Crazy stretch goal is to reach €50k by May/June.

I'm not expecting to continue growing at the current pace, but it is conceivable that we will reach $100k in 2019.

Maybe not expecting but let's all keep our fingers crossed that it continues.

Dec-2016: $32,870.70
Dec-2017: $58,271.55   (+ 25,400.85)
Dec-2018: $72,493.16   (+ 14,221.61)

The market drop helped me buy more shares at a cheaper price at the end of the year.  While my net worth isn’t where I thought it would be (ended November over $75K), the lower number now means I’ll grow greater later (ideally).  [Will this year be the year I reach 100K?  I hope so!]

Jan-2019:   $ 81,866.77  (+ 9,373.61)

Markets not only went back up, but I received my annual interest + contribution into my pension, also received my 401k match, and lastly got my bonus which almost doubled what automatically went into my 401k on that paycheck (first world problem - I need to re-do the math on what my contributions should be for the rest of the year, oops.)  My HSA also received a small lump sum from the company on top my my regular contributions.  That's the best single month jump I have ever had; likely to not be repeated this year, but it's only a guess.

Unless markets tank, I think I will cross the 100k threshold this year.  The thought makes my heart flutter.

Congrats! Keep on going, friend! You guys are so encouraging with your successes. We just got our tax return, and we're opening our IRA accounts with $2,000 each. We're hoping to break 100k by May or June.

I do not include my savings to buy expensive "fun items" like new cellphone, electronics etc. as it is not very big, and I just started it in July. My checking account is also not included as it has money I will likely spend this month.

Net worth:
Dec2017:$7800
Apr2018:$13,200
Aug2018:$22,800
Sep2018: $23,645
Oct2018: $23,658
Nov2018: $23,948 (+$290)
Dec2018: $23,960 (+12)
Jan2019: $27,100 (+3140)

Goal for 2019 is to make it to $45K.
Feb2019:$29,443 (+2343)-A decent month for me!

Favorable market continues, scary if it stays at this pace I could hit 100k by mid-year. My main goal was end of 2019 to hit 100k so I would be shocked if I didn't hit it, regardless of market shenanigans.

Big jump forward this month largely due to a small cc bonus, a medium tax return, and a friendly market. I hit 20 days of my current spending funded forever. It feels good to have escaped the lower 20s! Projecting 30k by April if the market keeps cooperating.

I’m in - I love this thread. We hit $50k last week and hope to double that by year end. Then I guess you will kick me out and I’ll have to go find a bigger sandbox to play in.

Much of it is denominated in GBP so our net worth in USD will depend on whether May or Trump more adeptly shits the bed in 2018. Early money on May but there’s a lot of year left...
Today is Bonus day! See you guys in the next thread :)

This includes all our retirement and personal accounts for assets. It includes our credit cards, student loan, and mortgage for liabilities. It DOES NOT include our home value.

April 2018 - $52,917.42
May 2018  - $58,400.19
June 2018 - $59,686.34
July 2018  - $65,798.53
Aug 2018 - $72,231.70
Sept 2018 - $76,755.71
Oct 2018 -  $64,348.89
Nov 2018 - $70,839.76
Dec 2018 - $58,351.73
Jan 2019 - $78,256.31
Feb 2019 - $87,795.97

Another nice jump with the market increase and our consistent deposits into our retirement and savings accounts.

Hello everyone! It is my first time posting in this thread, I just made by way over from the race to $10k thread which I just surpassed.

Here is a basic breakdown of the numbers as of the end of the day today:

Total Cash/Cash Equivalents: $31,642
Total Liabilities: $20,131

Net Worth: $11,511

Virtually all of my liabilities are student loans. I also have some minor balances on my credit cards, which I pay off monthly. I've been aggressively attacking the student loans (see my participation in the student loan challenge if curious) and have made steady progress.

As for asset composition,  20% are in checking accounts, 13% is in my HSA and 67% is in my 401k.

June ended around 36,000 (estimate, was too busy to exactly keep track). July ends with my NW up to $38,676.

Happy with my progress, though I've been spendier than I should.  On a plus side, it looks like I'll be taking a new job which should see a ~20% bump in pay, plus a nice sign on bonus. So my NW should begin to grow more quickly! Ohh and my commute will be dropping from 42 miles down to 2.5 miles! As a result I'll be saving a ton on gas and wear and tear on my car.

9/29/17 - $11,511 (First post in thread)
6/30/18 - $36,000
7/31/18 - $38,676
8/31/18 - $40,277
9/30/18 - $50,572
10/31/18 - $46,085
11/30/18 - $48,956
12/31/18 - $46,003
1/31/19 - $53,028
2/28/19 - $58,276

February Notes

Another solid month in the books. If I keep it up the pace and the market cooperates, $100K is in play this year!

2019

A good gain for this month. I need to start some spring cleaning and sell some of the items that I figured out we don't use over the last half year or so. Hopefully sell lots of that stuff this next month and it will all go straight toward my student loans.

@ASW Congratulations on graduating this thread! you made some great progress!

The difference here is quite a bit. It almost looks like you had a 3-paycheck month there! What's the cause for the big jump?

I missed a paycheck entry, haha. This year I should have had entries for 1/4, 1/18, 2/1, and 2/15. I missed an entry, there should have been another incremental increase in there. Also tax return came back which bumped it quite a bit as well as two bank bonuses that hit my account. :-)

I don’t post much on this forum anymore, but I finally rolled 100k!

Rounded numbers:
401k - 55k
Roth - 20k
Other stocks - 5k
Cash - 25k

Funny enough, I didn’t think I was going to make it!  I quit my job 3 weeks ago in order to attempt a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail.  I don’t start the hike for another 3 weeks but took some time off to get everything in order.

I’ve gotten a lot more cash heavy over the past 6 months to have a lot of cushion for the hike.  I’ll turn 25 while on trail, so I’m still young and plenty of time to continue working.

Congrats! Keep on going, friend! You guys are so encouraging with your successes. We just got our tax return, and we're opening our IRA accounts with $2,000 each. We're hoping to break 100k by May or June.

Thank you, and congrats yourself!  Looks like we'll both be graduating to the next thread around the same time, more or less!  Keep up the great work!

Favorable market continues, scary if it stays at this pace I could hit 100k by mid-year. My main goal was end of 2019 to hit 100k so I would be shocked if I didn't hit it, regardless of market shenanigans.

Folks, I'm giving myself a little setback to these numbers. I have been including my car value (10k) in these figures, but after reading MMM's later blog entry on NW calculation, I am going to omit it in my calculations moving forwards. My goal is now back to 100k by end of 2019.

Have been on the road/travelling/no computer for most of Feb and now into March so I didn't do an end of month update for Feb..might not climb much in the next 2 weeks of March. I've been spending too much but thankfully haven't slid back anything yet..happy to be back home and get back into a regular routine.

It's been fun but somehow unsettling :)

3/15/18 - 20,267.70
5/17/18 - 19,930.00
8/31/18 - 25,908.00

1/15/19 - 32,774.00
1/31/19 - 34,776.00
3/13/19 - 36,967.00

A couple of big expenditures recently took a bit of a chunk out of savings, but that's what savings are for I suppose. On the upside, I'll finally pay off the remaining balance of my student loans next month, so that should give me a nice boost financially and psychologically.

Updated to reflect unaccounted-for savings.

Hello all, joining this challenge after a bit of a layoff from the forums. I've been stuck right around the $90k NW threshold since August 2018, and I really want to push through into the six-figure club. This will be complicated by a couple of items: I'm getting married in June; we're going on a bucket-list international honeymoon; and I recently found out that I need a medical procedure that will likely take me up to the out-of-pocket max on my insurance, which is $5,500. In the "pro" column is an upcoming $4k refund, which I'm hoping will give me some forward momentum. (Or cancel out the medical expenses, whichever...)

We plan to buy a house in the next calendar year-ish, which will also mean a hit to the NW. I'm also a Poor by the standards of this forum--I make a hair over $50k (the most money I've ever made in my life!) and our HHI is around $93k. But damn it, I want to get to $100k! So here we are:

March 2019: 91,383.01

Welcome!  We are similar!

I recently found out that I need a medical procedure that will likely take me up to the out-of-pocket max on my insurance, which is $5,500.

I had an unexpected $5,500 for my OOP max last year - still paying it off (0% interest).

I make a hair over $50k (the most money I've ever made in my life!)

Including my bonus, I'm just a hair under $50k myself for this year.  We can do this!!!

It’s been exactly one year since I first posted on this thread! With a gain of
$32,762.45 in net worth over that year. Now, I’m almost halfway to $100K! Looks like I might get there by this time next year if things continue on like this (as I have been strategic and increased my salary by $20K in the last year, which happened in the last few months, and should show more over the course of next year).
