I'm a huge diet coke drinker, and it has definitely been one of the areas in my life where I could be a lot more Mustachian. Starting June 1st I plan on drinking just water and coffee that I make at home, and avoid buying soda or coffee on-the-go. I'll estimate the savings by putting aside the amount of money I would've spent each day on these things. Anyone else have a similar vice who wants in on the challenge?

I gave up my afternoon diet coke a few weeks ago and actually don't miss it. It was giving me major sugar cravings in the afternoon, and now I don't have them. (incidentally, I also tried to cut out other unnatural sugars, so this was part of that bigger picture change).

I mostly just like the carbonation, so instead I bring a 1L bottle of seltzer from our soda stream. It fits the bill perfectly.

Count me in!  Except for me it's buying sparkling water.  That's how I cut my soda consumption out, which is great for saving calories but not money!  Now I need to cut that out.  And I need to stop buying iced coffee out when I can easily cold brew my own.

I'm all over this!

I cut out soda a couple months ago. I do coffee/tea/water only now depending on the time of the day. Cold Brew and AeroPress coffee is amazing. I actually cut out sugar and creamer completely as the coffee isn't bitter with these brew styles, so there's additional savings/health benefits there too.

I average ~$7.5 for coffee a month and I have more tea from friends and family than I know what to do with, so I consider that free.

I'm in! Sodas have been my thing for a while, but as I've gotten back into cycling more, I've been drinking less and less. This week I drank perhaps one... I accept this challenge to cut them out completely! Lets do this!

I'm right there with you but I don't really drink soda anyways. I noticed i've spent wayyy too much at Starbucks for my liking over the past few months. No more coffee shops this month!

You know, this is one area where I do quite well in.  I will generally buy one social alcoholic beverage a week then the rest is good ole tap water.  Here and there I might throw a tea a week in the mix.  Back in my early 20's I decided to stop drinking pop (soda for the uneducated ;) )  and over the years I gradually cut out other sugary drinks.  This year I stopped buying orange juice.  The way I viewed it was if I wanted orange juice I'd eat an orange. :)

I should consider myself lucky though, I live in a rural area and have a private well.  Plenty of awesome water. :)
