My biking goals
« on: September 21, 2015, 09:43:10 AM »
My goal is to no longer drive to the following places:

My band's studio (1 mile away, I go 1-2 times a week)
My allergists office (3.5 miles away, I go once a week)
My church (3 miles away, I go once a week)

I learned to ride a bike less than a year ago so I'm making the following exceptions: bad weather (rain, snow, etc.), if I have to transport any drum equipment that can't fit in a backpack, or if I'm taking my 4 month old daughter.  I'm just not comfortable enough with my skill level or physical fitness to haul a trailer..........YET!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

Should join the cycling thread! I've just started biking this month myself. I wish I lived as close to my destinations as you do :)

I'm with you on the snow (we loose the road shoulder where the bike-lane is supposed to be), but rain?  Common'. Put on some waterproofs, pack a dry t-shirt and go for it! You can bike in the rain!

The rain is not a comfort issue it's a skill issue. I'm worried that the roads will be too slick and I'll wipe out!!!

If you ride normally, you won't.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
