Thank you @acepedro45 and @diapasoun!
Don't feel sorry for me, I needed to get out from that. Was on my way to resign anyway (=no compensation) when boss made another stupid move and ended up having to pay several months of salary. Would have been less had I not gotten such good support from the advisers at the union. So happy to have that.

Mid-Month Update:

1. Save $2,000 after-tax dollars - Still on track
2. Complete sections on first draft of Geriatrics Monograph - lots of good progress last week or so, but still behind schedule
3. Finish reading the book "Power of Habits" - On track
4. Weight up to 181# - It is going to be close. Hovering between 179/180
5. Reach "Adverbs 1" in Duolingo French module - If I can finish "Time" this weekend, I'll be on track and will have to finish Infinit 1 this week/next weekend

Kinda interesting. All goals are still possible, but will need a productive last 2 weekends to achieve.

It was not on my list in this thread, but on my general today list. Today I have planted seeds from herbs, so I can have these herbs in the kitchen.

Week 3 update:

1. Meditate after work, at least 10 minutes (up from 5 min last month)
 - Did a little better this week, but there were days when I just wanted to be doing things!  Have to work out how to deal with those days.
2. Limit computer time to timed breaks
 - Pretty good, I've been keeping busy with offline activities.
3. Declutter something every day
 - 26 items so far, this week we went through some bins that were in storage and looked through our bookshelves.
4. Cook down the freezer
 - Doing well, used up chicken and more soup, and some frozen veggies.
5. Read 4 books
 - Complete - 6 books

One week to go!

Here are mine:
-33 workouts (discrete workouts count as one each, e.g. yoga + a run, so some days I have more than one) - 25/33 so far
-Make $300 in sidehustle - $146 so far
-Meditate & journal 10x each - 3/10 & 11/10, respectively
-Have a date with my husband - yes, two actually
-Run 12 times - 10/12
-All unplanned money to kids college or mortgage paydown - yes
-Take the kids skiing one more time - this may not happen, now that soccer is in full swing
-Finalize sabbatical time off (dates for trips, etc) - I'm waiting to hear back from my husband on one date. Once that happens, I'll be in good shape to get the last few details in place
-Stick to the budget - we are over on food, after changing up our eating quite a bit. Otherwise, doing ok
-Finish taxes - it wasn't pretty, but it's done

I had a rough few days (struggle with depression, beginning of spring is always a hard time for me). In the past such a setback would be dangerous because it'd alienate me from my goals/bigger picture and throwing it all away became irresistible since I'd already "failed."

But not today. I don't accept that message. Tomorrow is a fresh start, and I'm grateful for it. Onward.

1. Average 13,353 steps a day. On track.
2. Exercise 3x20 minutes a week, for 12 sessions total. Sort of on track. I work out at the campus gym and hours have been really weird due to exams and spring break, so I'm a bit behind.
3. Save $1448.45. $1000 saved out of first March paycheck. I'll be opening an IRA this month. :D
4. Send pumpkin and Paradyne. Still not yet.
5. Get pile of stuff to Goodwill. DONE.
6. Revamp resume. D: Not yet done.
7. No-sugar month: Avoid added sugars! Still managing. It's getting harder -- somehow I feel deeper in thrall to my sugar desires now than I did at the start of the month (maybe due to dealing with housemate BS? unclear).

First time I'm joining one of these:

- 8 x HIIT Gym
- 5 runs of 5k or longer
- 2 diet cheat days (over my calorie allowance) for the month
- no more than 4 meals out/$200 in restaurant/bar spend
- Finish Rich Dad Poor Dad
- Do 1 yard sale as a follow up of 'tidying'
- Work 2 hours per week on improving side hustle skillset
- Create website for DW's business

Update 3/5:
- 5 x HIIT Gym
- 2 diet cheat day (on March 1st, what was I thinking)
- 3 meals out already but 1 was paid for by someone else. did have 2 small bar tabs also and a lunch with a colleague so not gonna make this goal
- did some work on website but will need to wait for DW to get back from trip to wrap it up -> Picking DW up from her business trip in about an hour so should make some progress this week
- over halfway through RDPD

- 8 x HIIT Gym [SUCCESS]
- 5 runs of 5k or longer [will probably only hit 3 but with all the running at the gym i wil call this a SUCCESS]
- 2 diet cheat days (over my calorie allowance) for the month [Not a chance]
- no more than 4 meals out/$200 in restaurant/bar spend [Not a chance either but kept the tabs down at least]
- Finish Rich Dad Poor Dad [on track to hit it with only about 25 pages left]
- Do 1 yard sale as a follow up of 'tidying' [Gonna have to wait for April]
- Work 2 hours per week on improving side hustle skillset [Biggest failure this month, fell off the wagon. FAIL]
- Create website for DW's business [Made no progress after she returned from vacation. FAIL]

Despite very few successes I'd still grade this as a B- from where I have been before, just have to stick to the eating out routine a bit more rigidly. Yard sale and running outside will resolve themselves when the weather improves.

1. Save $2,000 after-tax dollars - Success! 2.25k, very happy with this.
2. Complete sections on first draft of Geriatrics Monograph - close, but didn't complete. Will add this to April goals
3. Finish reading the book "Power of Habits" - Done!
4. Weight up to 181# - Surprise of the month! Last weigh in was spot on 181. Very happy.
5. Reach "Adverbs 1" in Duolingo French module - Devastated. I did reach adverbs 1, only for Duolingo to make a huge update to the french tree, effectively wiping out all of my progress YTD. New lessons, different order. I am giving myself this, but now my goal to finish the whole module by the end of 2019 looks very unlikely as they added a lot more. But, I did complete this March goal.

Very happy. 4/5, which was better than February. I have some big goals planned for April. Thank you all for the accountability and motivation!!

1. Make enough money to reach my yearly goal! (I'm self employed, and beginning of April is the end of the tax year). Yes, it's been an amazing month, best ever actually.
2. Again, save at least 50%, with the stretch goal being 55-60%. Yes! I think it'll be more than 60% this month, so much better than expected.
3. Working out: go to dance each weekend, do 2-3x bootcamp, and exercise on my own at least 2x/week. I did quite well. Got a free month of subscription to 'Pilates Anytime', so I've been doing some of their workouts.
4. Keep up the good amount of socialising on weekends - trying for at least 2 social things a week. Most weeks, yes. Also made plans for April already. But this weekend I am not going out at all.
5. Start the process for getting a driver's license. Yes! Booked the theory test and took my first lesson.

End of month update:

1. Meditate after work, at least 10 minutes (up from 5 min last month)
 - Missed 2 days entirely (both Mondays, which may be telling), and a few more days I didn't make it the full 10 min.  I'll carry this over to next month to strive for more consistency.
2. Limit computer time to timed breaks
 - Ok, not fantastic - mostly cutting down by keeping busy with offline tasks.
3. Declutter something every day
 - Success - 49 items total for the month, including donation runs to the thrift store and the library.
4. Cook down the freezer
 - Very good, on track to empty chest freezer before the move.
5. Read 4 books
 - Success - 8 books for the month

Hello Mustachian accountability partners!

As I type, with just a few hours to go in March, it is YOU that I'm thinking of while pouring over my tax return and refusing to procrastinate on it any longer.

Let's take a look back at the goals, shall we?

1. Connect 1-on-1 with someone I haven't seen in awhile but have been missing.
This has been mondo frustrating. Either my friends are flakes, I am unlucky or both. I haven't managed to pull this off in either February or March, though not for lack of trying.

2. Study 30 hours for the CFA
I didn't track really well because I got off to a fast start but I admit I tailed off towards the end. I probably got there though but I don't have numbers to back it up.

3. Track expenses relentlessly
Yup, did well here. In the interest of not overwhelming myself all at once, I am trying to just measure accurately in hopes of making spending changes later on. I used to be a big time tracker and much more frugal than I am now. I have gotten lazy and soft on a bigger paycheck - both in spending habits and not bothering to track. I'm hoping to be more disciplined in the future. There is a school of thought that says the very act of tracking helps people control their spending a little bit more, and I think there is something to this theory.

4. File my taxes
I am extremely close on this one. This has been a bigger time suck than I'd hoped. Hoping to wrap up tonight barring a spousal revolt.

5. Keep up regular running 3x/week - and sign up for a marathon!!!!
Congratulations to me: total success. I really worked hard and got my mile time down under 7 minutes, plus took the plunge and signed up for a marathon!

6. Read a book for pleasure
Total success! Not one, but two books read for pleasure. Ready Player One and Hillbilly Elegy. Really enjoyed both, but I have to agree with the forum consensus that @WhiteTrashCash is a better writer than Hillbilly Elegy's J.D. Vance.

7. Abstain from alcohol in a life-boosting, weight-shedding cleanse.
Yes! I didn't lose much weight, but felt like my energy levels were a lot higher and I generally felt more positive. This goal really dovetailed nicely with the running/exercise goal.

Oh and one more thing....

Like @MaybeBabyMustache and @tnrunner, the dates have been in short supply in my house. My spouse and I went out for dinner and a Night Away in a fancy hotel. Amazing. It's been on my list for way too long without any follow-up. We WILL do it again in the future. It was the first time both of us have spent the night away from Jr. and he did fine.

Status at the end of the month:

Walk to work twice a week. -> only once a week. The next weeks will not be better, as I have so much to do at work that I feel I can't arrive late.

Do something active on my 3 weekend days. -> Usually on 2 of the 3 days, because of horrible weather 1 day. But last long weekend: 3 days.

Finish making a determination key for a family of mushrooms. -> No. It was getting more and more difficult, I am a bit stuck. Instead I have read several books on various subjects (fiction and non-fiction).

Eat vegetarian 2-3 times a week. -> We managed 1-2 times a week.

Visit the cabin for a long weekend.-> Yes, this weekend. :-)

Mainly focus on our house, we had a water leak. Minor damage indoors, just needs to plaster and repaint a wall. And a lot of sorting and cleaning, but nothing of our stuff is affected by water. Outdoors - well, half of the garden is a hole more or less. Nothing I can do about it now, so no focus on garden during March, just some planning.

I want to have 10 items, some of them are small

1. Get the laundry room in order: decide on set up, get anything out of the house that we shouldn't keep (including stuff in garage).
2. Duolingo Italian every day
3. Plan garden and plant seeds (before the 15th)
4. Prepare for the trip: do we have everything we need? Packing list and plan & prepare food.
5. Plan the year, the spring half and the quarter. Late with this but want to do it. Want to involve DH for plans and money.
6. Restart DS1 training.
7. Hang art in kidsí room.
8. Send email regarding leak to insurance company.
9. Empty laundry once.
10. Empty ironing pile once (including all table cloths).

March turned into something completely different. I'm being let go from work. Mgr has been somewhat of a jerk but they will have to pay for it, and they have realized that. But it's taking lots of emotional energy and I will not be able to make my list. April will be totally different (work ends end of March).

Quick check-in w/a third left
1. Partly/can do most of it
2. Absolutely doable and good so far
3. Running late but this is ok, I will catch up in April. Can't do it now.
4. Yes, this is good enough. Will pack tomorrow.
5. Nothing done, nothing will be done in March (unless I have insomnia during the trip but highly unlikely).
6. Well, maybe next week, we were going on first class today but he has a fever and an arm in cast. Those are valid excuses :-D.
7. Done! Could add but first part completed.
8. Not yet but should do. Or maybe first week of April.
9. Will not happen -> April.
10. Will not happen -> April.

Now this weird month has finally ended, I had a hectic last week and was exhausted during the weekend so not much done. I will go down the list just for follow-up. A lot will be pushed to April.

1. I have done parts of the laundry room but transferring this goal to April.
2. Yes for Duolingo Italian - I have completed my set goal every day. Will ramp this up in April.
3. Very little done - this needs to be priority now.
4. Yes, that went well.
5. Planning moved to April - makes sense as I will be in a different universe until I find and start a new job.
6. Yes. Went to practise w/DS1, that didn't end up on a positive note from his side, he was tired and whiny. He is now out of his cast but not allowed to run until next week.
7. Done. Will re-evaluate once I deep clean their room but at least something is on the walls now.
8. Done, but got a reply back which I need to continue on.
9. Done! Actually done. Only now backed up again, but will be taken care of in a couple of days.
10. Nope, lots of clean clothes out everywhere. But is is ok, considering.

1. Average 13,353 steps a day. DID IT. Actually, more than did it. :D
2. Exercise 3x20 minutes a week, for 12 sessions total. Mostly did it! I didn't make it exactly right every week, due to the gym having some severely restricted hours, but I definitely did way better than usual.
3. Save $1448.45. Done.
4. Send pumpkin and Paradyne. Guess I gotta have some April goals.
5. Get pile of stuff to Goodwill. DONE.
6. Revamp resume. D: Whoops nope.
7. No-sugar month: Avoid added sugars! Done, and felt really good overall. I'm going to continue a modified version of this.

Here are mine:
-33 workouts (discrete workouts count as one each, e.g. yoga + a run, so some days I have more than one) - Finished with 28. I had some pretty intense knee/ankle pain last week, so I took it really easy.

-Meditate & journal 10x each - 3/10 & 12/10, respectively
-Have a date with my husband - yes, two actually
-Run 12 times - 10/12, only due to knee/ankle pain
-All unplanned money to kids college or mortgage paydown - yes
-Take the kids skiing one more time - nope, but lots of soccer!
