I'd like to join for accountability. I am 46 years old, with two kids (youngest is six), and cannot seem to get back to any pre-kid weight. I don't have that much weight to lose (depending on goal), but what I do have is "in the middle", the unhealthy part, so doctor said I need this to change. Also, I don't exercise (but want to start)... so I think I need to do something to be kind to my body, and most of all, to my heart. (Several diet/exercise related diseases in family history).
Current: 151.5 lbs (68.7 kgs)
First goal, to summer (June 1st): 141 lbs (64 kgs)
Long term goal: 128 lbs (58 kgs)
Height 5'4" (165 cm).
Resources & strengths:
* Myfitnesspal, started using in December and like it
* My work has given us free access to a gym (treadmills, machines, classes) situated less than 2 minutes indoor walk starting this Thursday and ending in July when we move offices.
* DH: he is a runner, still running several times a week even in the winter (studs on shoes)* Work culture: a lot of people pack lunches, eat healthy and exercise (same with friends and neighbors, lots of role models everywhere)
* I love walking and walk a lot
Obstacles and weaknesses:
* Am lazy
* Am stressed (full time work and two kids...)
* Hate winter (it is cold here, and icy & dark)
* Love food, chocolate, wine (same with DH, he is a wine collector)
