ALRIGHT LET'S DO THIS. As far as I understand, MMM does it for 25k for 3 people, but that's not including his house, which he owns, so that reduces his potential costs by a TON.

Let's see if I can do better while living in MONTREAL!

..which lead to some interesting discussion and proposals of tweaks to it.  My favorite version was the one CommonCents came up with, which is, essentially, live below the poverty line (as defined by your country for the number of people in your household).
