I'm in for another 4.
-
I'm in for 5.
-
I guess I'll shoot for 8 again.
Here we go!
-
Started June this morning at 211.2
Target for 6/30 will be 205.
-
I'm in, still need to see May's result on the scale but I hope for another 3 lbs in June.
-
I am in for a 5 pound loss.
-
I'm in for 4 this month.
-
I'm officially starting the month at 166. I'd really like to end the month at 160, since that's the top of my healthy BMI range, and a nice round number, but with vacation coming up and other things going on this month, I'll settle for not gaining if I have to. I'm making 2 lbs my stated goal.
Meanwhile I started the month out right by celebrating National Doughnut Day today.... hmmm....
-
I'd like to join the group with a goal of -5lbs.
-
I'm in for 4 pounds again.
Spending the first two weeks canoeing which will help if I can stop myself from overeating the whole time. I hate food waste and last time my dad cooked enough for 4 each meal even though it was just the two of us. This time we have a portage near the start of the trip, so I am restricting what we bring for food, and this time I am conscious that food waste outside my belly is better than wasting that food by adding extra pounds. Don't want to lose my April progress!!
-
I am in for 3,5 kilos. Have gone from 83 kg to 77 kg. The goal is to get down to 70 kg.
-
I'm in again, for the same 3 lbs I wanted to lose last time. I just want to get below 140 again - I haven't been that low since before I got pregnant 3 years ago, but it's totally doable.
-
I completely failed last month so I am in 5 again.
-
I wanna get in on this one, I will set a easy goal of 5lbs, a stretch of 6lbs and knockout of 8. Hopefully I can hit my knockout goal.
- Min Goal - 5
- Med Goal - 6
- Stretch Goal - 8
-
I’m going to give this a go. I started the c25k running program 2 weeks ago, and although I feel better the scales havn’t moved.
Aiming for 4lbs to get me to 170lbs, end goal is 152lbs.
-
I failed last month, but I'm in for 5 again.
-
I'm in for 4 lbs again! May was terrible ended the month.
Starting weight 127.2
Goal weight 123.2
0/4 lbs lost
Now time for my afternoon walk!
-
I'd like to join starting today. My goal is to lose 10 pounds by July 10, so 7 pounds in June would be about right. I'm working with a friend who is starting from a similar place. I've been killing it on the exercise, but my diet really needs some serious attention. @Phryne I started running 16.5 weeks ago, using Couch to 5k and Hal Higdon's half marathon novice plan. I have dropped a size, but my weight hasn't gone down; if anything it has gone up. I guess that's "normal" when you start running, but it's really been demoralizing! Good luck with your goals!
To summarize:
Starting weight: 167.3
June goal: 7 pounds
-
Lost 10 in May. In for another 10.
-
MANIACAL LAUGH! I lost a pound! (Or maybe I'm dehydrated - I know that I should really wait to see if the loss sticks around, but this morning's weigh-in is the lightest that I've been in YEARS, so I'm too happy to contain myself.)
Yay @Sun Hat ! That's a great way to start the month :)
-
No specific goal, I just let the weight come off at the speed it does. Already 8 pounds lighter than I’ve been since, like, 14.
-
I updated the first post. Our group goal is up to 100 lbs for June!
I'm doing ok. I feel like I've been eating a ton, and I've certainly been drinking much more than I usually do, but somehow the scale has stayed steady so far. I've survived the houseguest portion of my vacation (but there were certainly some moments where I almost threw them out! These friends will not be invited back, which I am sad about, but our lifestyles are very incompatible.) Now I'm ready to go relax on the beach with family next week. I feel like I'll be more in control of my diet there, but I'm still going to stick to just trying not to gain. No scale there, so I'll check in when I get back with how it went.

Congrats! I know from experience that that is no small feat. I get down about how slowlyy my weight is coming off, but I'm also lighter than I was at 14, so we can certainly celebrate that!

Starting weight 127.2
June 10 weight 126.2
Goal weight 123.2
1/4 lbs lost
I've started weighing myself every morning and it seems to be helping me to stay on track. Most mornings my weight is down about .2 lbs so its very motivating and then if it goes up a little it gets be back on track sooner than if I waited a full week to weight in.

To summarize:
Starting weight: 167.3
June goal: 7 pounds
Thanks FireHiker! Congrats on your running, 16+ weeks is fab: that’s well beyond the honeymoon / novelty period!!
I’d almost given up on weight loss this month, cause although I have run every second day for 3 weeks now & eaten better/less (& drunk less wine) the scales have not moved until this morning. I’m down 1kg (let’s call it 2 pounds as my scales are not terribly precise!) Not sure whether it was just hydration or is real, but it perked me up!
-
196, new all time low. Down 49 lbs on low carb, 99lbs from my all-time heaviest which I’d lost most of it and then regained about half before trying low carb.
-
1/2 way through the month I down 2.4 lbs.. Pretty much right on track.
-
Weighed in at 195.2, 50 pounds lost since Jan 2017 and 10 pounds lighter than I’ve ever been as an adult.
-
I'm happy to report that upon weigh in this morning I was down 4.2lbs, only .8 more to meet my goal for the month.
-
I'm in for 3lbs. June accounts for weeks 5-8 of my personal 12 week challenge. I'm trying to lose 10% of my body weight in total (not necessarily in 12 weeks...). As of the beginning of this week, I'm down 4.5%.
-
I am down 2,3 kilos of the planned 3,5 kilos. I could finally put on a pair of jeans that I haven’t used for 3 years. In the end of the month I can hopefully use them while sittning and breathing.
-
I managed to pack on 3 lbs over the last week.
My vacation is over now though and it's time to buckle down! Can I drop 5 lbs before the end of the month to meet my goal? Maybe if some of gain is temporary and just falls off right away.
I've officially reset my goal to 155 by Sept 8th, which at this point will require losing about a pound a week. That's not really feasible for me without suffering and it's already a big concession on my goal earlier this year which was 140 by then.
-
Starting weight 127.2
June 10 weight 126.2
June 20 weight 126.8
Goal weight 123.2
.4/4 lbs lost
Scale just keeps hovering up and down around 127 lbs
I need to kick things up a notch!
-
As I won't have a scale next week, I'll give an early update.
1.5-2 lbs lost. Not bad as it was far from a perfect month :)
-
I'm sad to report I'm up another 3 pounds this week for +6 for the month so far. I feel like my vacation wright is showing up on a delayed schedule.
-
Huh. Well 4 of the +6 just fell off overnight. The quick gain vacation type weight can tend to do that for me. Hopefully it stays gone.
-
Starting weight 127.2
June 10 weight 126.2
June 20 weight 126.8
June 25 weight 126.6
Goal weight 123.2
.6/4 lbs lost
Adding more exercise to my routine. Biked 37 miles Saturday, Ran a 5k Sunday, Biked to work this morning (9 miles each way) also doing push-ups and other strength exercises too. Hopefully this will start making more of an impact during the last week of the month.
-
June is almost over, and I was able to meet my goal a few days early. I know I had a hard time staying on track some of those days. Hopefully, I can stick with it and at least keep that off :) -5#
-
June 1: 131.4
June 30: 125.8
loss: 5.6
goal: 3.0
WIN.
I'm ultimately aiming for something in the 118-120 range and started at 134.8.
Thanks for throwing down this gauntlet, all.
-
I never checked into the June challenge. I regained in June, and I avoided the thread out of embarrassment. Thankfully I pulled out of the dive, and ended up back where I was at the end of May.
19-May: 174.4
7-Jun: 185.0
30-Jun: 174.2
Once I restarted, I shed 1lbs/day until I hit 177.0lbs. So I assume I caused 3lbs of true regain, and 7lbs of water loading.
Net progress towards goal 0.2lbs, but actual fat loss was 2.8lbs. It isn't the best kind of winning, but still winning.
-
Goal: 4
Loss: 4!
Is there a July thread yet?
-
I’m going to give this a go. I started the c25k running program 2 weeks ago, and although I feel better the scales havn’t moved.
Aiming for 4lbs to get me to 170lbs, end goal is 152lbs.
I lost 1 out of the 4 pounds I’d hoped for, but have cracked along with the couch to 5k running program. Started week 7 on Friday which had me running 25 mins without stopping- I’ve never run 25 mins non stop in my life! (I’m 41)
July aim will be lose 2 pounds, finish C25k and continue running 3 times a week. All those things will be tricky as it’s mid winter here!
Congrats to those who reached their goals!
-
I lost 5 out of my goal of 5. I tried not weighting every day, just every week, which was a mistake for me. I some how went from at 194.8 at the start to two weeks of 192 to 198 (6 lbs is outside my typical fluctuations) to now 189.8 which is a crazy change in a week.
Good job to everybody who made a positive change! (or negative as it may be)

Starting weight 127.2
June 10 weight 126.2
June 20 weight 126.8
June 25 weight 126.6
June 30 weight 126.2
Goal weight 123.2

I gained a pound - stress eating after the Ontario election.
-
BA-BOOM!
10LBS
that is 8, 8, and 10 month after month. gained about 2 back yesterday during a birthday party though. 2 beers, cake and icecream.
Hitting it hard this week to maintain that 10 lb loss. I really had to up it last week; started running before lifting everymorning, small protein shake afterward, yogurt or something easy around 9 then finally some real meat at 11, 2, and 5. Lots of fiber. Can't wait for the end of July when I should finally be done losing.
-
I didn't make my goal this month, but at least I didn't gain back the original 5 lbs I lost in the prior months.
I think I need to make July's goal even more challenging. My goal this month was for 5 and I think I have all month to do it and it throws me off. Well, you know, that and other things. :(
-
I didn't make my goal either. I hit 4 instead of 5. I plan to keep trying again though.
-
I was down as much as 6.8 lbs for the month at one point but finished down 4.8. Still reached my 4 lb goal so I'm happy.
-
Congrats to all the losers! For the people who've chimed in so far, we lost a combined 36.8 lbs. Which could have been 38.8 without my contribution. You're welcome :)
