Hi all:  I've been thinking about this and I think it's time to thrown down the gauntlet.  All of us are members of this community.  We come here because we enjoy the camaraderie, to learn, to debate, to catch up with friends, and to share.  It's about the people here, the community.  But what are we doing to build, expand, and preserve this community that MMM was kind enough to provide us the online space for?

The challenge: take personal action this month to do something to make the MMM forums a better place.  It might be something like welcoming someone who is new to the forums.  Did you know that we have a sticky "introduce yourself" topic?  You could visit and spend a few minutes to say hi to the new folks.  Or maybe offer some words of encouragement to a poster when they say something really interesting or profound or kind.  It might mean encouraging folks who you haven't seen in awhile to come on back. You choose.

If you have any good ideas or want to share any successes (or failures) this is a good place to do so.

Here’s another idea: be sure to say THANKS when you see someone post something unusually insightful or kind. There’s great power in thank you!
