I'm in! We tried to do a spending fast in April and failed miserably, because everything died: Computer broke down, we had to replace the washing machine, we had to make some repairs on our car, etc. etc. So yeah, basically we saved nothing in April. On the upside: we also didn't touch our previous savings to replace/repair those things.
For this month we have 2k left and I want to make those last. Will be a bit of a challenge, because we need more than 60% of that for rent, insurance, gas, etc. And after that we still have to buy food. To make things more interesting, we have some social events this month as well. So... we'll see how that goes.
The goal:
- No eating out in May
- 60 euro grocery budget per week
- Not buying anything, apart from groceries. So: no magazines, no knickknacks, no decorations, no books, no nothing.
I'll try real hard to not touch our savings this month! Extra interesting, at the end of May we get all sorts of bonuses (extra yearly paycheck, which is like an extra salary. Tax refund. etc.) We could make a huge step forward with our savings, if we make it on those 2000 euros in May.
